Why don't we ever hear about what albanians have to do ?
It seems that the Kosovo albanians are perfect and need no efforts to get into the EU and have a country.
All relations between serbs and albanians depend on serbian behaviour.
Very strange indeed.
And Cyprus concerning, how come it problem is not solved yet?

China has large plans for Serbia. A canal, buying into Thessalonika ports, high speed railway and massive warehouses for what?
Importing & exporting goods to EU at a lower service cost.

Russia is building a mini regional oil and gas exporter.

EU companies look towards production outside EU over regulation.

Germany tells Serbia a country who it imports too more than it exports, that Kosovo need do nothing anymore but wait for Serbia to sacrifice it's claim to join.

They just ruined the dialogue and woke up even more Serbs against any notion of joining the EU.

No wonder when the Slavs met you they dubbed thee Nemci.

Lets say for arguments sake that the US did want launch missiles at Russia (even though it doesn't), wouldn't the Baltic countries or Poland or Romania ect be a more logical place to do so from?

LOL well then they shouldn't have gone along with America's plan to create one. The Cyprus issue exists for Germany, not, well Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Slovakia, or Spain. The powers that don't want "another Cyprus" created it and continue to support it. It's not Serbia's responsibility to fix it since they're the ones calling for international law to be respected.

And calling it a "Cyprus issue" isn't really smart, is it? A country invades another country and occupies a part of it. The invading country then declares the part it occupies an independent country, which no one but itself recognizes. The "free" part of the country gets into the EU while the occupied and disputed part remains in limbo. You don't invade, occupy and control your sliver of territory and then put the burden of responsibility of solving the problem on the country that was invaded. You don't do that for Cyprus, so why the lapse in logic for Serbia?

Contrary to what this German official is saying,the Cyprus issue is not difficult but a clear-cut one of invasion and occupation by the Turkish army and Turkish settlers.How clearer could it be?

Fair enough. But Serbia doesn't want to be another Bulgaria or Romania joining the EU with over regulation, loss of sovereignty and with literally nothing to show for it. Just create favorable conditions for investors to come to Serbia, any investors. Volkswagen won't avoid Serbia because they are not satisfied with the latest Brussels agreements with Thaci. Businesses want profit and for the most part, the EU is anti business. It's parliament is filled with a bunch of college kids who went straight from school into public service and have never worked a real day in their life.

Someone said it clear, wait for the South Stream Pipeline to be built, the Chinese want to build a canal from Belgrade to Thessaloniki.....that is huge. My concern with that is how much trade is really going on to require a canal but regardless, such a huge project adds significant political significance to Serbia.

If Germany doesn't want another Cyprus than it shouldn't be so hell bent in trying to create one out of Serbia.

And discover: if you are against Russia - than these allies are straight from the hell. Except the Albanians, of course. You can rely on these cavemen from Neanderthal. Well if some German official is unhappy with Cyprus being a member of EU and the Eurozone, then what should the Greek Cypriots say? Cyprus was a lot better off outside the EU and the only reason they joined that coalition was because they believed that Europeans would pressure Turkey to solve the longstanding Cyprus issue and that the island would once again be united. That never happened, Turkey continues to not recognise Cyprus as a state even though the Turks claim they wanna join the same coalition Cyprus takes part in and the cypriot economy is on the verge of bakruptcy. And instead of hearing some kind of apology for the fact that the EU participation has produced nothing but negative results, now the Cypriots have to hear that their case, which btw bears no similarity to the one in Kosovo, is to be avoided in the future as if Cyprus is to blame for the ongoing division of the island. So now it's the victim's fault that the crime took place. Thanks for nothing Europe aka Germany.

Obviously you entered the EU then for the wrong reason and finally you woke up now... Now that you are sober, instead of whining, just take action and leave the Union. Just make sure that once you leave you don't whine again why you go bankrupt and don't get EU (aka German) money to keep you afloat.

The über-Cyprus is already in EU and spreading the Orbánist plague. The only solution is a new Trianon. Not a Petit Trianon - but a Giga-Mega-Tera-Trianon.

Mainly, because you are on B92, which is a Serbian news site, dedicated to news about Serbia. You could ask B92's editors to cover the conditions given to the Albanians to join the EU, but that would likely fail because not that interesting to people who visit this site. The editors have to daily filter out many news and put only those they think are worth more, like bully stories from Kosovo for example. They can not write about everything, it is physically impossible.

Just wonder what happened to the KiM unique situation? If it were unique then there would be no other comparable situation. If Germany already sees a clear comparison between KiM and Cyprus then isn't this notion of uniqueness somewhat false?
Afterall something unique stands alone without any positive comparisons.

Ian, there are already (or in plan to have) interceptor missiles in Poland which are official first line defense of eurozone against the imminent threat from NKorea and Iran. It seems somewhat odd that a successful attack on Europe from an Iranian missle would make it into the zone before being intercepted because of the choice of Poland vs, Greece or Turkey, which would be able to intercept the missle well before it could make it to European airspace. So why are these defensive positions in the less logically strategic Polish sites?
