Why don't you provide some proof behind your redigulous statement that Nis was once albanian? Parts of North Albania were once Serbian and South Albania (Northern Epirus) belonged to Greece. You came with the turks and now claim all of the balkans. Albania is shity place, now you wanna spread that to all the corners of the balkans. Without Nato you will not be able to steal another inch of Christian territory.

Everyone seems to be opposed to the idea of partition but the partition of Kosovo has already happened, however no-one dares admit this.

Serbia's institutions will remain in Northern Kosovo because Northern Kosovo is apart of the Serbian State, whereas the rest of Kosovo is an independent functioning state.

This partition which everyone is opposed to has already happened.

Serbia should put it's cards on the table and offer to recognise Kosovo south of the Ibar (as Serbia controls Northern Kosovo) in return for Autonomy of Serbian enclaves south of the Ibar and for autonomy for the Serbian Orthodox Chuch to a similar level to the Greek Orthodox Church has on Mount Athos. This way Northern Kosovo can be fully intergrated into Serbia and the borders and customs can be moved to the Ibar river and the rest of the K-Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church can govern themselves in Kosovo. Then everyone can move on with their lives.

Are we talking Merdare to Niš (known as to red apple in Niš) which Serbia still claims to be under Serbia. I am not sure what are you refering to?... If you listen to Vulins interviews is a joke when you know that someone loosing their income from North Mitrovica Mafia pf course he will try to kick until his last breath.

Ecoman,

Perhaps it is you that is misinformed about the latest happenings on Kosova.
Pay special attention to the last sentence:

“I think some sort of partition is not acceptable to the EU and Kosovo but autonomy for northern Kosovo which would to an extent legalize the existing situation is. In that sense, the north will certainly be closely connected with Serbia,” Bieber noted.

However, he added that Serbia should at least formally admit that the north belonged to Kosovo as well.

Kosovo partition into what ?! Don't forget that Kosovo is Serbia (according to the Serb patriots) and they certainly would not accept the partition of Serbia (it's even forbidden by Serbia's Constitution).

On a side note, you see here by your comment "EU says Serbia has to", at least you admit that your "leadership" is rather worthless and weak. You prove my point made in another post that Albanians cannot handle their own problems (unless you count 6 monks, 14 year old girls and seniors a problem then the tough guys are there to handle it).
(Ari Gold, 10 February 2013 15:38)

I think nobody doubts that the Serbs are more macho than the Albanians, and nobody has a problem to leave the machoness to the Serbs... It has helped Serbs a lot starting with the first of the losses in 1389 :)

M-la-maudite

"guarantees the rights" I guess you are not following the news. Serbs south of the Ibar don't have rights. You albanians are aginst our churches, you are beating up our elderly, attacking our children and you are talking about rights. You can say what ever you want but we all see the kind of terror society Kosovo has become. Serbs should never give up north Mitro, especially not for EU membership. If they do then Evil has prevailed.

Of course those institutions are going to remain. They're going to be the foundation of an autonomous north. As for the rest, I have absolutely no doubt many "loyal" Serbs will turn back to Belgrade - well, not really "turn back" but openly admit their allegiance - if given similar offers of autonomy and direct connections to Belgrade. Rada Trajkovic has no love for Pristina either :)

Rocky, interesting name for an Albanian, in any case, please get off of your old and tired soapbox, blabbing the same tired lines we have heard for years now. Check out a couple of quite recent links here, from B92, and inform yourself as to the current line of thinking.

Vulin, sorry but the EU has on several occasions made it quite clear, that Serbia will have to abolish Serbia's illegally financed institutions in the north of Kosova. The EU has also stated very clearly, on several occasions that there will be NO partitioning of Kosova. Also on several occasions, the EU has stated that the Serbian population in north Kosova, will have to be integrated into Kosova's institutions!
(Rocky, 10 February 2013 15:00)

All those things are true if Serbia wants to join the EU. But Euroskepticism is on the rise in Serbia significantly much like the rest of Europe. If Serbia says no to the EU, it doesn't have to do any of that.

On a side note, you see here by your comment "EU says Serbia has to", at least you admit that your "leadership" is rather worthless and weak. The EU will not make this a key issue as long as Serbia insists that it will stick to this.

The important thing is not boundaries, but rather effective, peaceful working.

It is not worthwhile for the EU to try to win a dispute that it cannot win, and in this case, Serbia has reasonable and just cause.

Sir, the platform does not only guarantees the rights of people living in Severno Kosovo, let alone merely in North Mitro, but of all Serb majority municipalities and districts (namely, all the enclaves) and even villages (with a different status than that of the North and the enclaves though). Besides, no part of Kosmet is just a small piece of land!!
