The time has come for Serbia to open the door for anyone who wants to help not only to cry for European Union. As soon as we do something for us, we will be welcome to Europe. We all have to support our president in that effort.

I’m not sure what point your trying to make, but next time the US Secretary of State travels overseas to promote investing in the US perhaps you can send him an email about your theories on economics. I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

For those that have lived an isolated life and TV/internet is their only source of information let me enlighten you now.

In every country regardless of how poor it maybe there are very wealthy people who have money to spend – an example, in Sydney Australia the high end property market is stagnant (homes on the harbour valued at $30 million plus) and it now seems that wealthy people from Greece and Spain are showing interests in buy some of these homes. Now if individual Turkish investors wants to spend in starting industry, I have no objections at all. It means more employment for Serbs. These investmens will be small but every bit helps.

Funny! Turkey recongized Kosovo but they are doing business with Serbia. Looks like the theory of recognizing Kosovo is more aimed at liberating Serbia then Kosovo itself.

Really?

How about some major albanian investment successes? Czech energy company CEZ is cheated by the albanian government and then nationalized:

PTK is being delayed for the third time & even Albright's company has pulled out:

...and text books being rewritten at the behest of Turkey to sugar coat Ottoman horrors:

Nobody to blame but yourselves, including the recent tantrum throwing over terrorist monuments. Why would anybody invest near these volatile albanians? Don't worry, the gulf arabs still have plenty of money for you to build more airports and mosques. Better start covering up your women and learning the Koran.

One thing they probably didn't teach in your economics correspondence course is: Obtaining investments in your country is always a good thing when the country cannot support their own people but the test of whether a country has any economic stability is the announcement of investments in other countries. We don't hear much about that do we? Maybe you should have upgraded to the 39.95 edition.

oh Andy, are you seriously for the UK? I can only hope that you're trying to be humorous .yes, there is a lot of uncomfortable feelings towards the Turks in the Balkans (perhaps understandable) given their Ottoman past. but, so what? should people in India be as hesitant towards any deals with the UK because of Britains colonial past?

What difference does may name make!

@Adem
Surely your mistaking Serbs with Albanians, the masters of begging!!!.
Serbia is conducting business negotiations with other countries and organisations, in this case the benefits are mutual, as these two legitamate nations are both keen to establish a stronger economic relationship. No need to be jealous as drug and human organ trading is also a lucrative business, though they're not the type of business normal, legitamate nations participate in.

Wow...EU, Pasha Putin, UNO, Gulf, now Turkey.
Serbia is world champion in begging.

When you’re on social security for a long time you think that going to a country and offering investment opportunities is begging because these people have no other terms to describe it. Well Mustapha, what happen ot Kosova? Why aren’t the Turks making these statements in Pristina? Hmmmm?
Go and get a job rather than live off other people’s hard earned money.
