Majority of the world!!!! Hmm, I guess you have failed your Math classes, haven’t you?! 98 out of 193 counties that are members of UN have recognized Kosova, that means, the MAJORITY have recognized us, as much as you’d hate to admit it. Taiwan as a non-member has approved of Kosova, so Slick, go back to your math basics and add up these numbers!! It’s not that difficult……

I'd rather join an organization and have my territorial integrity respected than be a basket case like belgrade and have the MAJORITY of the world not recognize you and your fictional provinces.

Where was your UN membership when you got bombed? Answer me that

Nikolle,
I can see your empaty levels are at impressive lows.
Perhaps you might critically think about it some more. I'm sure you'll come up with it. Afterall, you are probably an intelligent person.
However, while we're talking about hypotheitcal plights, what was the plight of the citizens of Kosovo in the 80's? What is the plight of the Albanian minority left in Serbia, or FYRMacedonia, or Montenegro, or Greece? Is it perhaps that they do not wish to be in the country that they were, or are (depending on which of the previous two cases you look at) in? Perhaps they could have moved to a country they wanted to be in? That seems equally unempathic as your view.

"Serbians in Kosova are blockading the border crossings to bring attention to their situation."

What situation is this, that they don't want to pay taxes to Prishtina? wow, I can see how repressed they're getting, up there with the Palestinians those poor Serbs in the North

(EA, 10 January 2013 14:15)

What the hell is a 'healthcheck' that's not even a word. Maybe you've heard of spell check?!

Anyway, if I am wrong and if the Serbs in Mitrovica aren't relevant then why have they made this much noise without anyone putting them down? Oh we know your response, same with the Albanians 'letting' Vulin in the occupation during Christmas......its because you guys are nice guys and allow us to breathe right?!

pfttt. You only go as far as the West takes you. And all of this hoopla is so the West can 'close' the issue and leave for good. And when they do.....

")You Albanians are in delusion if you think Kosovo recognition means much if anything."

What you call recognitions, is in fact de-recognition of your myth.

"It is just a game of chess between the West and the East."

It is communist Serbs that have multi agencies that extort money from poorer Serbs to keep your myth alive.

"And I cannot see the West winning this game."

So you are not as superstitious as you'd like to be?

"It doesn't matter that half the world recognise you."

No,no, half of the word doesn't recognise you and your myth.

Should we wait for a fat Serbian girl to cry? Is that the final humiliating finish to this myth from 1984?

Though it is painfully obvious that these actions are protests, and it is historically evident that protester strategies the world over are to bring attention to the plight of the protesting group by imparing the everyday activities of everyday people what is the actual law breaking that is happening?
Perhaps they didn't get a protest permit?
Farmers in France (the inspriation for America's democracy) regularly block highway corridors in their protests.
Native Americans in Canada are currently blocking road and rail lines to get the voice heard.
Serbians in Kosova are blockading the border crossings to bring attention to their situation.
Americans sat in on wall st. and campuses across the country to have their voices heard.
Are all these models of democracy wrong?
Is peaceful protest illigal in the modern Shangrila of Kosova?
Are minorities to be completly trampled and ignored in Europe's newest democracy?
You speak of laws, you speak of repression under former Serbian regimes, yet you ignored those laws of Serbia, and are now behaving just like the monster you hated. Perhaps a self reflection is important here.

Call it what you want, you can recognize Kosovo as a village if you want, it still has it's own laws, and they apply for everyone including the serbs. And when it comes to the policemen who allegedly bated the 9 serbs, they said today that they would like someone neutral to come and investigate the case.

And about the albos in Presevo, what rules have they broken till now, after 2001 conflict, please tell me?

And yes as long as Preshevo is under serbian territory i think the Albanians should follow and respect the law that applies for the region and the country.

A simple answer to your question Alban. Kosovo is not a country, Kosovo is a disputed territory and it will remain so for a very very long time indeed. As long as the West is prepared to finance it. You just have to learn to live with that fact, you and your kids, and possibly your grandchildren too.
(Teslavio, 10 January 2013 14:34)

I am all for it, knowing that Teslavio's grandchildren will not be able to rule Kosova.

1) Kosovo is not a country. If it is when did you join the UN?

2) "Arn't they supposed to respect the laws of the country...."
Yes, people are. And currently the Albanians in Kosovo are not doing so; nor have they ever. Don't you feel these same rules apply to Albos in Serbia (including Kosovo). Do you actually think Albos are following these rules in Presevo? Do any rules apply to Albos?

Bingo, Teslavio, KiM is not a sovereign nation, not matter what Albanians or American say. Where is their UN membership, of they are? It is still contested land, and cannot be compared with a sovereign nation like Serbia. No matter how much Albaniacs stomp their feet and shout, "we are a country, we are a country", it does not make it so. To take a line from Ronald Reagan, Mr. Dacic, "tear down that hideous stone".

The good thing is no matter how much the Serbian Government betrays Serbian interests, any solution is not manageable without the approval of the 40,000 Serbs in the north. So block all you want too Serbs! Pristina is scared of you (they haven't came up ever since the July 2011 debacle) and NATO KFOR have proven not to persuade you to bow down.
