The "West" will soon implode and your attempts at theft of holy Serbian Lands will result in a very painful lesson... A lesson well deserved and long time coming.

Interesting that formal Seselj disciple is willing to talk compromise. Yes, Vucic changed colors somewhat for the power but ask yourself why he believe road to power run through EU and Kosovo compromise? Why Tadic believe this, too, in last government? All very well that Kostunica and DSS not willing to sell out Kosovo, but they currently lack the votes. Why is that? I think that hidden behind all the rhetoric is reality that none of the politicians wants to admit. I see over last few days that few posters here calling for Kostunica return in next government, and that I understand, because we are all quite frustrated, but we must seriously ask what he could do? Neutrality in time of economic and environmental crisis may be very bad for Serbia. We all wish to believe that Russia and maybe China could provide what we would forfeit from EU but can we be so certain? What does China give N Korea? What does Russia give Cuba, Venezuela? All these countries are desperately poor. What great advantages are enjoyed by the pro-Russian faction living in Ukraine? What ever happen to the cozy ties between Russia and Belarus? We Serbs need analyze facts. Do we really see Putin as honorable man in face of all news about corruption, elimination of political opponents, lack of free press, lack of free speech (see Pussy Riot)? And just now, I see on news that Medvedev taking heat for his 'indecision' during war with Georgia in 2008. Hmm, what Putin up to there?

Wow, I thought that the Serbs were infact trying to hold on to Kosova somehow for historical reasons! Now this statement that Kosova is worth how many $ billions! This changes the situation 1000%!!! The current elected leaders in power in Kosova, now with everything in the open will in no way be able to compromise on anything in regards to mitovica in northern Kosova! I've copied the posting & am emailing to some very dear Friends in Kosova today! They have probably seen it firsthand themselves. Nevertheless, it would be strait, suicide for any of the leaders of kosova to compromise at this critical point! The fact that Serbia has been trying to get a piece of the territory of Kosova, makes sense now! Well rest assured Serbia! The days of you somehow obtaining a piece of this holy Kosova, are completely over. Infact they have been over since 02/17/2008!!! Serbia and it's excuses of trying to preserve its Serb identity, it's blasfemmious references to its wanting to protect its religious sights & so on! It's all been about the wealth Kosova processes! And now that the truth is finally out, you Serbia will definatly need the Russians along with Thier entire military might to even have a chance at occupying Kosova again! You thought the albanians were vicious in protecting Kosova in 1999? Wait till the population of Kosova gets wind of this! They will now be completely invincible to any aggressor! I have been very impressed with the DSS as the "right wing" opposition. There was a lot to like about Seselj and the Radicals, but in the end their racist/fascist tendencies would manifest, making them politically, indeed morally, untenable. The DSS caries none of that baggage and thus possesses a whole different level of moral authority. They are better of outside the government. Their voice, unencumbered by political alliances, is invaluable to the discourse regarding K&M, while their own long term political interests can't help but benefit. I don't know if Kostunica well ever again be relevant within Serbia's government, but I believe history will remember him very well.

DSS had the change to salvage something from Kosovo in the Vienna negotiations in 2007. They most likely could have gotten the north at the time. The policy of NO TO EVERYTHING brought Kosovo independence while Serbia got nothing.

Aleksandar Vucic has been accused for many things. The accusation that Aleksandar Vucic will betray Serbian interests is ridiculous. If someone takes care of Serbian interests, those are Tomislav Nikolic and Aleksandar Vucic . The political platform that will form the basis for negotiations with the so-called state of Kosovo will be adopted in the Serbian Parliament.

DSS is kinda lame I think. I mean, they do not offer explicit concrete solutions. Dveri, also eurosceptics offer explicit solutions and programs, so I like them more.

Serbs need to take the other side of the coin into consideration too. What countries like Ireland, Greece, Portugal and Spain signed up to in the 1970's and early 80's seemed very "rosy" at the time. It however slowly grew into a nightmare of an headace as the decades passed by. You never know what the future brings.
On the other hand the relationship between the slavic brothers of orthodox faith in Serbia and Russia have been developed through almost a millennium, independent of who happened to sit on the "throne" in Moscow and Belgrade throughout the years. Life of an individual (ruler) is very short indeed. While building bonds between nations is an enterprize nutured over centuries.

Total is the lie that Aleksandar Vucic, in any way the interests issued by Serbia and its citizens in Kosovo and Metohija. on the Serbian Progressive Party, trying to find a solution to the Kosovo problem because this situation was untenable.

I think it's easiest to just criticize and not do anything. Citizens have shown how much they believe in elections Vojislav Kostunica, and as for Aleksandar Vucic I would never have betrayed the interests of Serbia. Times are tough and should be considered in the right way and bring the right solution to satisfy both sides.

But from DSS' point of view Kosovo, could not legally declare independence because that would have been against 1244 so they did not have to compromise.

Unfortunately DSS was reading the Serbian version of 1244 as many others in these forums. There is nothing worse when politicians not only spread lies to their citizens (especially to the Serb populace who has a history in teking for true whatever the politicians say), but politicians also start to believe those lies themselves as being the truth.

I do not know how long more are we going to accuse each other. It does not lead us anything, we must look to the future and see how to solve the Kosovo problem. Always will find someone who will not match a solution but maybe at that point the only solution, then what Kostunica does not offer a solution or platform.

That's obviously correct since the chance of 1244 being repealed and Serbian Army returning to Kosovo equates to about 0 thus not giving a chance to the band and the Serbian Army to fight...

I can have coal dug up in Australia, washed, crushed into powder, transported to a port and loaded on a ship then delivered to the Italian port of Bari cheaper than you can extract it in Kosovo and do the same.

The problem was that the cost of extracting was too high for any benefit when you can purchase the same for a quarter of the price on the market; Kosovo has lots of shale oil, but it currently costs anywhere between $900 and $1,200 per gallon to process, but you can purchase oil for $120 per barrel??????????
