It was neither borned and nor died in the UNSC. The plan was approved by the UNSG and implemented by Kosovo. Zimbabwe, Togo, Serbia, you, etc... are free not to implement it - they/you don't have to.

Rediculus serbian people in Kosovo have to have the right to choose to whom they belong.Like the albanians who were given the right to brake away from serbia. It is only by a fair deal that they will get what they want.

Any decision that deviates from the Ahtisaari Plan will be dangerous - but it's consequences will be felt exponentially among the Serbs in the South of Kosovo. If one point of Ahtisaari deviates then others will follow suit. There would then be no reason for Albanians not to claim Kosovo a second Albanian state in the Balkans and Serbia would officially lose all of its extraterritoriality for churches envisages by Ahtisaari.
Of course, as ever, fantasising about 1389 will be a priority compared to facing up to the realities of this day and age!

In Kosov noth many Albanins are victims but also Serbs are victims very true however you need to understand that this will last for some time until its al solved and people can heal. The bodies of dead neet to return from both sides.
As long as you have nationalist in both sides people will not have peace. I would want North to be cut and move on but I dont have a say as I have no Kosovo Citizenship and I do not live there I think people living there should decide.
Referendum in Kosovo just like there was referendum in South Sudan, Quebec or Scotland if they want in 2013 let people living there choose. Just like in Vojvodina they should vote and if they say no Autonomy all should shove it. I say Referendum in Bosnia etc let people living there choose why hold them with force. But i agree that small village should not have referendum and I dont mean North Ksoovo.
Serbia got Vojvodina because it chose the right side also should loos Kosovo for voting Milosevic in power you get rewarded for right actions and punished for wrong only fair.

It is no suprise that there are people here who can't imagine anyone selling a birth right for money. But of course without dollars being pumped into propping up the Albanian regime in Kosovo, the Albanians wouldn't be there either. They wouldn't have been there before the end of Yugoslavia either if they hadn't been living and breeeding on the teats of the Yugoslavia government.
Albanian life in Kosovo is a well funded facade, Serbian life in Kosovo is history. Don't imagine that Albanians all by themselves are going to take by might what they can't get from international welfare handouts. Albanians can be trained and armed by friendly countries, but Serbs arm and train themselves. They don't need advice or military support, they just need the world powers to sit it out.

While this is just bulls**t posturing by the Kalbanians, it still shows how the election in Serbia has changed the dynamic of Kosovo status negotiations. Clearly pressure has been put on the KLA by their sponsors to make some concessions, pressure that was not considered necessary during DS' time of total capitulation. Again, the concessions are meaningless and any Serb who takes part in the illegal institutions they create should be tried for treason, but they never-the-less demonstrate the changing dynamic at work. The change will be glacial but inevitable. The Serbs must have patience. The next such step will be grater involvement by the UN in negotiations, as Russia has suggested.

Italian, Pristina has no money to buy anything. Besides, it is the West that determines what will be done in Kosovo, not the thugs in business suits in Pristina. Personally, I do not think there is a price big enough to buy Kosovo from the Serbs, only military can take it away, and that has been tried already and failed.

And some here actually believed protesting and erecting barricades was counterproductive. Hold out for another year and the international community will start proposing joint Belgrade-Pristina administration while the usual nationalists jerk off to ideas of another "Oluja" to ease their angry feelings of impotence in the face of international impatience :)

SOme NATO generals advised in Croatia why Serbs can not accept it. Croatian MEn fought and beat Serbs accept and move on. Many Russian friends fought in your side in all wars learn to live with it.

Luli, NATO fought the war for the Croatians in the 90's. Do you think that they will again for the Albanians in 2012? I don't think so. Kosovo is Serbian land, especially the North. Pristina is going to buy the serb minority. The same that Italia did with Austrian minority here.
The risk to Belgrade is that serbs of Kosovo could agree (they will be crazy if they don't). They could be the richest people in both Serbia and Kosovo and these municipalities the richest in the entire balkan area.

Italian, Pristina has no money to buy anything. Besides, it is the West that determines what will be done in Kosovo, not the thugs in business suits in Pristina. Personally, I do not think there is a price big enough to buy Kosovo from the Serbs, only military can take it away, and that has been tried already and failed.

It is no suprise that there are people here who can't imagine anyone selling a birth right for money. But of course without dollars being pumped into propping up the Albanian regime in Kosovo, the Albanians wouldn't be there either. They wouldn't have been there before the end of Yugoslavia either if they hadn't been living and breeeding on the teats of the Yugoslavia government.
Albanian life in Kosovo is a well funded facade, Serbian life in Kosovo is history. Don't imagine that Albanians all by themselves are going to take by might what they can't get from international welfare handouts. Albanians can be trained and armed by friendly countries, but Serbs arm and train themselves. They don't need advice or military support, they just need the world powers to sit it out.

In Kosov noth many Albanins are victims but also Serbs are victims very true however you need to understand that this will last for some time until its al solved and people can heal. The bodies of dead neet to return from both sides.
As long as you have nationalist in both sides people will not have peace. I would want North to be cut and move on but I dont have a say as I have no Kosovo Citizenship and I do not live there I think people living there should decide.
Referendum in Kosovo just like there was referendum in South Sudan, Quebec or Scotland if they want in 2013 let people living there choose. Just like in Vojvodina they should vote and if they say no Autonomy all should shove it. I say Referendum in Bosnia etc let people living there choose why hold them with force. But i agree that small village should not have referendum and I dont mean North Ksoovo.
Serbia got Vojvodina because it chose the right side also should loos Kosovo for voting Milosevic in power you get rewarded for right actions and punished for wrong only fair.

While this is just bulls**t posturing by the Kalbanians, it still shows how the election in Serbia has changed the dynamic of Kosovo status negotiations. Clearly pressure has been put on the KLA by their sponsors to make some concessions, pressure that was not considered necessary during DS' time of total capitulation. Again, the concessions are meaningless and any Serb who takes part in the illegal institutions they create should be tried for treason, but they never-the-less demonstrate the changing dynamic at work. The change will be glacial but inevitable. The Serbs must have patience. The next such step will be grater involvement by the UN in negotiations, as Russia has suggested.

LOL so in other words, northern Kosovo is planned to become a South Tyrol. Something Thaci and other Pristina dimwits vowed would never happen. And some here actually believed protesting and erecting barricades was counterproductive. Hold out for another year and the international community will start proposing joint Belgrade-Pristina administration while the usual nationalists jerk off to ideas of another "Oluja" to ease their angry feelings of impotence in the face of international impatience :)

What physical proof is there? Most people believe that Albanians came from Turkey, or Sicily. What happened to these Illyrians, they just became tired of their name, and changed it to Albanians? Italians come from the Roman Empire, Greeks come from the Greek Empire, so wouldn't the Albanians still be called Illyrians? Something fishy with your history, dude. Any decision that deviates from the Ahtisaari Plan will be dangerous - but it's consequences will be felt exponentially among the Serbs in the South of Kosovo. If one point of Ahtisaari deviates then others will follow suit. There would then be no reason for Albanians not to claim Kosovo a second Albanian state in the Balkans and Serbia would officially lose all of its extraterritoriality for churches envisages by Ahtisaari.
Of course, as ever, fantasising about 1389 will be a priority compared to facing up to the realities of this day and age!

Rediculus serbian people in Kosovo have to have the right to choose to whom they belong.Like the albanians who were given the right to brake away from serbia. It is only by a fair deal that they will get what they want.

It was neither borned and nor died in the UNSC. The plan was approved by the UNSG and implemented by Kosovo. Zimbabwe, Togo, Serbia, you, etc... are free not to implement it - they/you don't have to.
