It is so ironic and very hard to accept, Ban visited Kosovo, UN Mission in Prishtina, and at the same time the mission did not have capacity to take care of his security on the ground, therefore they asked Kosovo Police to do so. UN does not recognize Kosovo Independence but it does recognize its institutions and its leaders, since Ban met President and Thaci.

"Speaking in Priština, Ban said he expected "a normalization of Priština's relations with Belgrade, including equal seriousness and sincere commitment to dialogue".

He added that he had asked the Serbian authorities to do the same."

What is this guy talking about ? Hasn't he read the B92 forums that Kosovo is Serbia ?! What relations is he speaking about - of Serbia with itself ?!

Well if you thisobbing that that's fine with me but I'm sure some readers would feel fantastic to read that Mr Thaci said he would be the first in line to kick Mr Nicolic out, I don't speak/read or understand Serbian so I did not know B92 reported about that.

You guys should report what Mr Thaci said when he met with Mr Ban-kimoon.

All of Hash's empty boasts, fictitious statements and factual lies are on their Serbian site. I guess B92 took it off the English mirror to save some readers from getting disappointed with him. One more time. :)

Meanwhile, the Priština government's Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi was quoted as saying that Ban's visit to Kosovo was "reflecting a new political reality".

And what "new political reality" is that? Let's see, Ban's visit reflected the following "realities": UNMIK is still a presence, stay out of the north, act like civilized democratic Europeans, stop harassing Serbs and other minorities, and make nice with Belgrade. So whatever reality Rexhepi is spinning, it's that Pristina has to cut the BS :)

My God it's like trying to negotiate with a mule. When are these going to realise that full independance can never happen unless Serbia agrees, and when are they going realise that to continue trying to ethnically cleanse Kosovo of Serbs on the quiet simply is not going to wash.

Ban's message is loud and clear - respect and protect the minorities in Kosovo, their culture, their churches and their homes. The world's patience is not infinite.

I want to see some photos of ki-moon shaking hands with organ terrorist Thaci. Also, he should advise Thaci to stop using "Kosova"* as a terrorist training ground spreading death and destruction not only in KiM but also in Syria and elsewhere.

But of course our local Albanians are happy that the NATO death machine is stationed in our holy province and that terror is being spread around the world.

1244- No Serb police or army allowed in Kosovo without PERMISSION!
1244- Serb politicians must get approval to travel to Kosovo!
1244- Albanians never live in fear from Serb forces again!
Shall I go on.

Maybe you should have Tshirts made up to wear. 1244, a 1st for the UN in forcing a country to remove all control over a province and then allowing a way for that province to become independent.
or
1244 the UNSC called the violence enacted by my govt so atrocious that they unanimously agreed to ban us from the land.

UNMIK has not been much in charge admittedly. But that is changing. Everyone can see that KFOR and EUEX do not operate in a status neutral manner and have failed miserably to protect minorities. They are clearly not fir for purpose. So back to the UN, thank God.

And you have anything at all to support such a statement, bearing in mind that you have to have full UNSC agreement to change anything in the makeup of UNMIK. They approved the downsize of UNMIK and the transfer of authorities to both EULEX and the local elected officials. You think that you are going to get an agreement to reverse that-fat chance.
And KFOR is not controlled by UNMK, it has its own mandate and is not answerable to anyone other than the UNSC, and same to change its mandate requires again full UNSC agreement.

Yes, in reality, Kosovo is under UN administration, so no wonder that UN chief Ban will have a stop there on his Balkan tour and visit UNMIK personnel. But why does Rexhepi think it's something new? UN1244 is in force since many years.
(Comm. Parrisson, 24 July 2012 09:42)

Come on mate, you can not really believe the UN General Secretary, the first diplomat of the World travels to Kosovo only to meet with...the 20 or 30 unmik representatives left and their boss whose name no one can even barely remember LOL

UNMIK indeed used to be sole Ruler of Kosovo after 1999 but since 2008 no one would even ask them what time is it, even albanians in the North who are rebuilding their houses or building new ones never ask for UNMIK permission...

So, I guess he will spent 10 minutes with 2 or 3 unmik guys and the rest of the journey with Kosovo's representatives...

wow. the UN-official is clearly mentioning UNSCR 1244 and the albanian "interior minister" can only sit there and babble about "new political realities"...

well my dear k-albanian friends, don´t you want to see what is obvious? your socalled "interior minister" is adressing you with some warm words, but actually, this is out of his horizon. he can do nothing about it. it shows you where your place is, internationally. and UNSCR 1244 confirms it.

and that is good!
