Serbia "expected to get EU talks date by end of year"

Ivica Dačić and Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis say they expect Serbia to get a date for the start of EU talks before the end of the EU presidency held by Cyprus.

wishful thinking, Cyrus has nothing to decide in the EU, as a matter of fact it is one of the weakest states, and should actually not be a member of the EU.

Well bill or Ahmet or whatever your name is, you sound like a knowledgeable with individual. Of course you tend to forget certain matters as to how the EU is governed and the responsibilities each Presidency has; and the power each presidency has to influence a political agenda.

Sure, Cyprus should never be in the EU and it is a mistake that they never asked your opinion on this and they just went ahead and put it there. In fact no one should be in the EU unless they ask bill/ Ahmet's opinion. But then again Ahmet, no one cares what you think.

Just like Lithuania was expected to be the last EU ms to ratify the SAA with Serbia last month but still hasn't. Why not?
