Macedonia celebrates 20 years of independence

Greece does not recognize Macedonia under its official name, the Republic of Macedonia, because it has also been the name of its northern province since ancient times.

You are dead right.Greece will never accept upsurping of its history by a bunch of Bulgarian speaking population trying to connect with ancient Greeks.They are artificial and will remain so until the time comes for its disolution.

What exactly have they accomplished in the last 20 years? They trusted the west and the west left them in a dustbin today. You would think their politicians would tone down this anniversary so that the people would not reflect on their disappointment.

Milosevic fought hard to keep ex-Yu intact...except for this part.

Slovenia was also spared much bloodshed.
