why don't you mind your own problems in Serbia and let Kosovo manage its own matters. I cannot believe this nacionalistic approach in many comments for the issues in your 'like it or not' country/'neghbours. Kosovo needs to develop, for all of you who don't know, Kosovo is building its first highway to Albania (another highway to Skopje is to come) which, of course is costing the budget and causing deficit, but nothing that cannot been managed and that the priminister of Kosovo has increased salaries of civil servant up to 50%, which their collegues in Serbia will never see happen an increase by 50%. Sometimes, politicians, depending on the circumstances must have vision and courage to push thing forward no matter what international community say. You must have 'bools' to act as a country and see do something good for your people eventhough IMF (in this case) will become upset, but will soften next time. So, my message for all of you, mind your own problems.

Dear lord in heaven !! This is getting from bad to catastrophe for the "Kosova project". I know that many people in Brussels and Washington are laughing so much every week against this huge monkey cage called Kosovo, that they are nearly peeing in their pants.
What a complete circus this is. Its getting more and more obvious that it is impossible to dress up a bunch of hillybillies in fake Hugo Boss suits and let them run a fake state belonging to someone else. This is totally preposterous and hilarious. The world is laughing.

"The way to overcome this problem would be ....."
(Zoran, 2 June 2011 09:56)

... that, in the long-term, countries finally start to realize that they cannot spend more money than they earn. They cannot waste money on a bloated public sector (like Greece, with 15 salaries a year for the people that work in public service) while there are not enough taxes collected. You cannot waste money for fancy roads to Albania (like in Kosovo) when you live on donor money and nobody needs those roads. If a state does not live on natural resources (like Russia and the Arabian gulf countries), the resource can only be the 'human resource' i.e. the power, eagerness and creativeness of the people (like China).

"In Serbia's case I would say it is money owed due to sanctions and NATO's illegal destruction."
(Zoran, 2 June 2011 09:56)
Serbia's case is similar (though not so severe) to Greece: Spending more than you earn, not for investments, but for public consumation and salaries for too many public workers. The story about the 'huge NATO desctruction' is nonsense, too: Serbia's infrastructure (maybe apart from some areas in Belgade) has been rotten already before, like it has been in most eastern European countries.

No country should EVER get a loan from IMF...they are designed to enslave a country; it's a Brussels / Washington tool.
Thanks,
(KOSO, 1 June 2011 16:35)
--
You are right about that, the world bank and IMF are tools to enslave people. However, "Kosova" is a Brussels/Washington tool also and Albanians submit to them exclusively. What other choice do you have? Either being slaves to the Albanian mafia or slaves to your current masters? Who will give you a better life?

I also agree that Serbia risks becoming enslaved by debt if we continue to adopt these "European values". The government we have are sell-outs and have almost tripled our debt since coming into power.

The way to overcome this problem would be to form a block with Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Ukraine and then to default on the loans while gaining support from the East. In Serbia's case I would say it is money owed due to sanctions and NATO's illegal destruction.

(Jovan, 1 June 2011 20:29)
RS a success story? Aha. Okay, if you replace the 'even if' with 'at least if' then you might be right. Know the proverb: "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king?" ;-)

But yes, compared to Kosovo, RS must be a considered a paradise of wealthiness :-)

The root to any problem or reality in this world is found by following the $$. In THIS life nothing matters to most people than that. Once $ is cut off or the lack of $ increases things start to change. Kosovo Albanians have no economy of their own. The living standard there is terrible, despite the fact that it would be much worse if its main source of $ is cut off. The IMF being a Washington/Brussels mechanism were the K.Albs biggest allies and main source of life. Meaning the K.Albs actually needed this mechanism just to have the terrible living standards they do today. Without it things would just unimaginably get worse.

My question is what will happen to the K.Albs when their biggest source of life is taken away from them. They are not self-sufficient, independent people that are standing on their 2 feet. This is evident because despite the fact that as the article says the K.albs get "donations and favorable loans from international financial organizations" it is still the worst place to live in Europe. That represents a pretty big paradox on what is actually happening there.

Anyway the government in Belgrade would be wise to follow the advice of B92 poster "Another JS" by defaulting all the loans with the IMF. There is simply so many other options in the world to loan money from. If the same amount of money is needed that Serbia is borrowing from the IMF can be borrowed from parts of the world not controlled by the IMF then it would strengthen Serbia's geopolitical position. Clearly these are the same people who tried to dehumanize all Serbs, hypocritically chose "rights of republics" and "self-determination" when it was against Serbia's interest. To borrow more money from them and be completely enslaved and indebted to those very people would completely bury Serbia..the grave being digged up by Serbs themselves. Defaulting the IMF loans, the South Stream Pipeline, Chinese building bridges and shopping centers across across the country will only help Serbia stand up to forces aimed at ruining and permanently dividing Serbs. The worst part is the IMF, EU, NATO and every other branch of the North Atlantic empire is slowly sinking and yet Serbia is still trying to jump INTO the sinking ship at all cost.

By Serbia, I do not mean the people. I mean the current day Milan Nedic's in power who made pacts with the foreign imperialists in return for support to stay in power. The people however have to be held responsible for even electing these opportunists. These are the same exact people who were communists 40 years ago. Now they replaced the obsession with communism to the EU but same integrated foreign ruled idea.

The K.albs have no one else to turn to BUT the IMF. So as they have shown are going to stop picking up the tab for this welfare entity, the rest of Serbia and Serbs still have an economy and a military that can if barely stand on its own. Default IMF loans, don't make any pacts with the West regarding your territory and let the tumor on Serbian soil die a fast death....follow the $$

My goodness. This is one of the very few clubs "Kosova" has joined and it now risks getting kicked out? I know why they want Serbians placed into "Kosova" institutions. It's the same reason BiH wants RS to merge so they can put Serbians in charge and save them.

Now that KiM Albanians have been free of Serbian rule for over a decade, are they still going to blame us?

highduke is right on this one, it´s indeed quite interesting to see how bad the K-albanians, who so badly wish to be " a state ", are losing credits in the international arena, while the RS is economically a success-story, even if compared to the muslim-croat federation, which is better off than those simple criminals in Pristina.

it will take more time of course, but Serbia will prevail. and I will love to witness the desperate outcries of our greater-albanian dreamers when the time has come.

but whoever believed, "Kosovaah" would be a success-story, was either blind or stupid.

What on earth are you babbling about, USA? Pristina government gets its hand smacked by world financial orgs. for being, well, crooks, and you go on about Albanian media and Serbs. Maybe Serbs are behind Thaci's thieving ways? Pristina Albanians are crooks, they have been cut off for stealing, end of story.

"According to preliminary calculations, Kosovo will lose at least EUR 144mn. If it does not manage to cut spending by the same amount by the end of the year, Kosovo should declare a complete economic crisis in 2012," said reports in Albanian language media in Priština.

Since when you guys trust Albanian media? If you did, you will quote Albanian media in other matters, such as: K-Serb crimes in northern Mitro amongst many other things that invloves Serbs and Serbia.
