Every single word uttered by the so-called Ministry for Kosovo State Secretary Oliver Ivanovic, a man voted for and representing NO ONE in kosovo...

mean less than nothing.

Well Kosovo could in theory become a state if all UN states except Serbia recognize it (which will not happen). But the proof of the pudding is in fact that Kosovo is not a state because a real state does not have legally challenged criminals like Thaci and Pacolli as PM and President. If they would appoint some serious persons then maybe some more states would recognize it and they would come closer to being a state. But that won't happen anytime soon and the geopolitical map will surely change until the day they realize what they should have done.

Also while I'm at it, Kosovo is by far a much better state than Moldova, yet Moldova is an ally of Serbia regarding Kosovo ironically. Pick and choose standards I say.

BTW I do understand that Kosovo doesn't have the best institutions and stability in the world, I'm just pointing out it is better than other countries.
(Ian, UK, 18 February 2011 03:13)

Kosovo's a "better" state than Moldova, is it? Says who? It's not even better than Bradford. Is Moldova run by an organ-stealing terrorist and a mafia builder then? No it isn't. Considering the billions that have been thrown at Kosovo and the amount of international hand-holding, to end up with a country whose GDP per capita is lower than Turkmenistan and El Salvador is a pretty poor show. Time to give it back to the Serbs, I reckon - they're the only ones who seem to want it and I'm sick of paying taxes to fund a bunch of crooks.

The usual silly comments come from Serbs. Can they come up with something new? Kosova is and will always be a state whether they like it or not.
A fully functioning state can stand on its own feet financially and in every other sense of the word and it does not have to be a member of the UN, e.g. Tiawan. So looking at all the facts if Serbia did not receive aid from the USA, EU, World Bank and the IMF it would not have enough money to buy a slivovica for a meeting let alone become a member of the EU – vetoed with love from Holland among other EU members. As a matter of fact how can Serbia be considered as having a European perspective when its ENTIRE administration is run by former Milosevic lackeys?

Like it or not that’s the facts, so if I was a Serb I would hurry to get as much as I can because the Russian State of Windbags is teetering on the edge – look as ALL the former Soviet Republics have slipped through its grubby little fingers

If I had a penny for eveyrtime I hear Belgrade saying, K-Alb can't have this and can't do that.

We didn't give up on our goal while Milo rolled in the tanks and sent the paramilitary thugs and army criminals to kill and plunder in Kosovo, you think we will give up now?

man this guy really needs a reality check. But maybe it's your job to say all this rubish.

True! If Kosovo wants to compete with African countries, it surely is a lighthouse of democracy, prosperity, law and order. Unfortunately, Kosovo is located in Europe. Here, it's the most corrupt and poorest 'state' (or province, whatever) with one of the highest unemployment rate, heavely depending on donor money, and probably the only state in Europe with a prime minister who has been called a leader of organized crime (certified in files from several western intelligence agencies)
(Top, 17 February 2011 22:33)

But compared to many of Serbia's 'important allies' in Africa and Asia, Kosovo is by far better off. Yet these allies are still apparently regarded as states even though their infrastructure is far worse than Kosovo's; as well as their stability. I'd say that Ivanovic has double standards.

Also while I'm at it, Kosovo is by far a much better state than Moldova, yet Moldova is an ally of Serbia regarding Kosovo ironically. Pick and choose standards I say.

Do not forget that Kosovo has declared its independence only 3 years ago. It suffices when you honestly stop for a minute and honestly analyse what has Serbia achieved for 133 years of its existence as a state and to what country of Europe can Serbia compare herself with.
As far as I am concerned, to me everything is better than being under serbian yoke.

He can say what he likes about Kosovo, however Kosovo has better state institutions than many African and Asian countries; not to mention that Kosovo is a hell of a lot more stable than most African and Asian countries too. When is Ivanovic going to call these counties as non-States because of their institutions and because of their stability?

Opinion, opinion, and more opinion.

B92 you couldn't interview actual officials instead of these phantom ministers? One located (persona-non-grata in Belgrade) and one from a symbolic assembly.

Kosovo's independence is a success whether you like it or not. With Serbia losing 40,000 people per year because of low birth-rate, with a 1,200,000 population of 65+ and Kosovo's annul addition of 30,0000 people plus a 2.1 birth-rate/year do you really think it's wise to have wanted Kosovo as a province? In matter of 30-40 years Albanians would have been a majority in this greater Serbia.

Trend:

Serbia is going bankrupt, the 1,200,000 population will be gone in the next 30 years (at best), a slowing birth rate seeing 40,000 people less per year.

Kosovo's economy is increasing, a booming population (slightly slowing down but > ~2.1).

It's only a matter of time until Serbia recognizes Kosovo. One last thought, it's ironic but Serbia's population trajectory reminds of the Russian one from 160mn to 142mn (??)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOSOVA!!!

Thanks,
