I thought NATO bombed Serbia because you invaded Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo, and committed crimes?!
(ivan, 5 February 2011 16:28)

Invaded???

1. Serbs were living on what is now Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo territory for centuries.

2. Croats exterminated virtually all the Serbs from Croatia with help of NATO. West denied the right to Serbs to defend themselves from this genocide. This time Croats finished what they started in 1941. Just google JASENOVAC.

3. In 1991 48% of the Sarajevo residents were Serbs. Today only 3% of the Sarajevo residents are Serbs! Muslims exterminated virtually all the Serbs from Muslim controlled territories of Bosnia, with help of NATO. West denied right to Serbs to defend themselves from this genocide, but Serbs fought where they could, and survived on 49% of the Bosnian territory.

4. Albanians exterminated virtually all the Serbs from the Kosovo territories controlled by NATO. West denied right to Serbs to defend themselves from this genocide. Albanians are currently in the final phase of creating of the Great Albania.

5. Slovenia was never invaded. Slovenia was a part of federal Yugoslavia. In 1991, Slovenians killed Yugoslavian customs personnel, Yugoslavian border patrol members, cut water and food supply while killing everything that moves in the Yugoslavian army bases where 18 y.o. boys from all parts of Yugoslavia (including Slovenians, Croats, Muslims, Macedonians and Serbs) were serving mandatory state service, while almost all of them did not even have ammunition in their weapons.

Why is western press still ignoring these facts?

Finally the western European heads are waking up to what Islamic fascism is doing under the cloak of democracy, even though mouthpieces like the Baroness someting or another and her pathetic politically correct ilk from London are crying foul. Sadly whats happening now is the early stages of what will ultimately be another Yugoslavia on a macro level, throughout Europe within less than 25-50 years. Another possible scenario will be a Reconquista Part 2 or humane deportations for the sake of stability; either way, this is how far its gotten since 9/11, within 10 years it will be more radical and further on until the implosion of passions. The Balkans endured the cruelty of the Ottomans for 500 years, almost pushing them past the straights of Marmora deeper into Anatolia, if not for the intervention of the Brits, who didn't want an Orthodox island in the Balkans. Seems like an old adage is coming back, those that don't learn from the past, are condemned to repeat them.

Under some circumstances it appears extremely difficult for many diverse cultures to coexist in relative harmony; but clearly it is not impossible, as we can see it happening in the US.
(Yin and Yang, 6 February 2011 05:19)

The secret to diverse cultures coexisting together in the US is money just as the same is used to break up a country. Once the loot disappears what the disintegration of the US.

And since multiculturalism has failed according to the horse's mouth, Britain should break up and let Scotland, Wales and Ulster become independent aka Yugoslavia! Of course this would mean that London would lose its veto power at the UN too!

The only way multiculturalism can fail is when there aren't enough members of the society that are sufficiently willing to make it succeed.

The recent policymakers that believed that multiculturalism would succeed in England, Netherlands, Germany, etc. had good intentions. But they are dealing with some people from cultures that are highly fragmented, and that deny half of their population--i.e. women--full and equal participation. Hence, assimilation appears very threatening to them since democratic and egalitarian notions are not part of their mindset.

The cultures accepting immigrants from countries that have indoctrinated chauvinism have a lot on their plate, because they will be teaching highly imbalanced people--a symptom of which is their great need to try and control.

An excellent example are some Montenegrins.
They lived next to Albanians for centuries, and adopted many of the Albanian attitudes towards women, as well as their treatment of them and limiting them to highly prescribed roles. They also adopted, along the same lines, the family honor and revenge killings which the King of Serbia had to finally intervene to put a stop to.
It is not at all uncommon for the Montenegrins that I personally met in the US to brag about the obedience of their women, and of the Montenegrin father that took his fourteen year old son to the woods and put a bullet in his head for dishonoring the family's name by stealing a neighbor's transistor radio.
Their male pride was better served by a culture like Albania than Serbia--which was also the Montegrins' neighbor for centuries--and we all see where they gravitated to. The Montenegrins are ethnic Serbs as much as the rest of the Serbs, but they chose to go their own separate way and recognize the theft of their own land by those whom they share the same values and views with. People do the strangest things when it comes to preserving their "identity", all wrapped up in old ways. Montenegro even "invented" their own language and now wants to separate from their own church.

Societies that deny--based on gender-full and equal participation in every facet of both public and private life are denying their own completion and cannot help but fail.

New immigrants need to recognize that they come as guests, and should be gracious and GRATEFUL for all that they receive. And when you come to a new place, be prepared to change, and see it as the great opportunity that it is. All acts of violence against the host country are destructive to everyone, and can never lead to good.
Policymakers need to draw some really clear lines in the sand about where accommodation stops and where assimilation is required.

At a security conference in Germany, he argued that Great Britain needed a stronger national identity to prevent people turning to all kinds of extremism.

I am not certain whether Cameron's statement marks a shift in his previous position or is just another piece of populist rhetoric. The truth is
Multiculturalism doesn't work, never has worked and never will work. All of human history is the story of cultures supplanting one another, from the Ptolemies taking over Egypt onwards.

For as long as Europe urged on by self-loathing lefties still living the post-colonial guilt trip, lacks the will to insist upon and enforce the principle of "si fueris Romae, Romano vivito more", then there will be tension, ghettos and separation.

-- NATO didn't do anything over Slovenia or Croatia. They intervened in Bosnia only after two years on conflict and then brokered a deal that set the internal boundaries of the state at the war lines. They only got around to being more pro-active by Kosovo, which ultimately resulted in halting one act of ethnic cleansing and replacing it with another. You apparently think a lot of things that are factually and historically problematic.

Multiculturalism failed because the native culture has been abandoned in favor of a consumerist liberal mentality that favors ethnocentrism for minorities only, just like in SFRJ when it wasn't cool to be a Serb, especially in CRO, BiH, KiM, CG & MK. The West bombed us because we reminded them that they sold out their ethno-culture. We Serbs have woken up and may the West Europeans follow us to ethnic freedom!

Seems like an old adage is coming back, those that don't learn from the past, are condemned to repeat them.

I thought NATO bombed Serbia because you invaded Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo, and committed crimes?!

Invaded???
