May they all be swept both from power and from opposition to be replaced by a new generation of Serbs who are proud of their past, reliant on themselves and convinced of their independent and free future.

Sounds more like a return to the past, not the future.

Nikolic has disqualified himself from the running for Serbian president for a multitude of reasons, but this issue of begging for EU membership is the most serious reason for his inevitable final retirement from politics. He simply doesn't get it.

Even the least politically inclined Serbian voter now understands that the EU leadership sees Serbia as some kind of vassal state that can be enticed to surrender its own territory in return for a few scraps from the already barren EU table.

Nikolic has flip-flopped from former nationalist rhetoric to this boot-licking drivel about Serbia only being able to survive if it joins the EU. May our ancestors, who survived and thrived despite far greater problems than we could ever face, please close their ears and eyes lest they observe the weakness and hopelessness of this would-be leader of the Serbs.

Serbia is a magnificently rich country inhabited by a talented, educated and hard-working people. They deserve much better leadership than the uninspiring, corrupt, lazy, cowardly, gang of liars and fools that now dominate the main political parties.

Collectively, these so-called leaders are the worst imaginable disgrace to the Serbian nation, with half of them working openly as well-paid janissaries for the US-EU oligarchy and the other half aspiring to replace them in licking the boots of foreign powers.

May they all be swept both from power and from opposition to be replaced by a new generation of Serbs who are proud of their past, reliant on themselves and convinced of their independent and free future.

Do you want Serb in the EU or not? Don't tell us what you will never say, tell us WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.

According to the headline: "EU membership condition for economic survival", I am getting the feeling that you're saying Serbia should be a EU member.

Take it easy fella. He's a politician playing politics. I think if you anything about Nikolic, you will know he defiantly against the EU.
