I think the main concer of any Serb would be, see the links bellow, not Kosovo.

Olf can try and compare Serbia to Kosovo but he is either intellectually dishonest or a liar if he thinks that the two are anywhere near the same level. Anyone with a pulse can see that Serbia is functional while Kosovo is filthy, hardly functioning, and a barely surviving... (aside from the north and a few areas like Strpce).

It's good that some of you are so 'truly' worried about the Kosovo people. I can't imagine how worried you are about the 700.000 serbs living below poverty lines. It's very nice that after all the problems you have in Serbia you find the time and the will to worry about them.

Where lies poverty line in Serbia and where in Kosovo?? In Serbia - below 8360 RDS per month = about 90 Euro/month. Where lies Kosovo poverty line, if according World Bank - 15% of Kosovo population live with less than 93 cents a day = 28 Euro per month!!!!

Worries about unemployment, poverty, and corruption are common to all Balkan countries says a Gallup poll reported on Nov. 18 - http://www.ansamed.info/en/top/ME12.XAM18505.html (Also: http://www.pesterlloyd.net/2009_47/0947balkanmonitor/0947balkanmonitor.html)

"According to the survey, the majority of people polled considers another war unlikely, but a general climate of pessimism reigns, except for in Albania and Kosovo. "

In light of the current economic situation worldwide, the findings are hardly surprising.

And what's your point now??

The US has 17 mio not having enough money to eat and 36 mio receiving coupons to survive...
We also have our lot of poor people in Switzerland mainly in the elderly population.

Following you very complicated ballistic state of mind, you mean that the US should mind their own business too?

I would rather comment in saying that it is a very very sad reality all around the world and that every one should work to make it better.

Well EU/US what are you waiting for? Start pouring billions and making lives better and reducing that 90% unemployment rate. Serbians did and look at what it got them, but I have a feeling the current occupiers have learnt that lesson, but they have to say something. Words make your life so much better and they give you hope. However, I have yet to see them fill an empty belly, but maybe Tony Blair could visit Kosovo to describe the wonderful meal that’s on the imaginary table.
