What I just read, about the plight of Roma families and their children when they are forced to return to Serbia is a discrace to both the German and Serbian governments alike. That Serbia has inadequate funding to support the resettlement of these families is one matter but that children are refused even the basic of life's necessities, such as an education and decent housing is a matter that can be solved if the bureaucrats simplify procedures and get to grips with the seriousness of the matter. As for Germany, there is no excuse. for a country that propogates human rights and are among the first to criticize others on these issues, they show no complacency or even reserve the decency in saving whole generations from a life that is as close to hell as one can get. Shame on them. On the other hand the parents of these Roma children have a hand in the circumstances that affect their children's lives. If they wanted to save their kids from possible suicides and a life that holds no future for them they could have complied with German law and quite possibly would have had the opportunity to make their stay permanent. All parties are to blame, exept the children who are the really the victims and are not served by the incompetencies of the bureaucrats and politicians of the Serbian and German governments and the inability of the their parents to secure a safe, happy and prosperous future for these poor children.

Europe keep telling us that borders don't matter.
What is this now?
No problem.
Hang in there dear Romas. They also tell us in several years Serbia will be part of EU. As Serbia's citizens you'll be able to live anywhere you want in Europe, including Germany.
Right.
