BTW while I'm visiting Kosova I have been to Gracanica and Shterpca and trust me that no one is forcing Serb minority to vote.

Slowly but surely they're finding out that belggrade is using them for its' political purpose and probably they don't want to be belgrade pawns anymore.

If you are from Canada (great country by the wayt) you know that in English it is Kosovo, not Kososva.

Stop acting childish like this!

It is Nederland in Dutch, but Niederlande in German. So if I write German I use Niederlande not Nederland!

It doesn't matter at all if there were 125 or 12500 people interviewed, the bottom line is that if they(serbs) vote they will have a Serbian mayor in their municipality.

we -- I -- encourage all to vote, and hopefully vote for someone who is looking towards the future, not hopelessly to the (bad old) past. voting is one essential part of any democracy -- if you don't care for any of the candidates, then go run yourself. don't vote, don't complain.

in our last election here -- an off-off-election, we had less than 10% show, incl absentees (that came in that day.) really pathetic. but in the Nov election, i think it was closer to almost 50% in my working precinct, which for us was tremendous.

28 percent doesn't count the any of the minority refugees pushed out of Kosovo while under KLA, German, Italian, US, and French occupation. That number constitutes nearly 60% of the minority population before the KLA/NATO war. It is a well known FACT that those 300,000 people are not allowed to return or participate in any NATO/OSCE "democratic elections."

For your info and evreybodys outhere that share the same ideology with you in regards to the upcoming municipal elections in Kosovo. Behind closed doors Boris Tadic himself has ordered his political activists (spin doctors) to do anything within their power secretly to remove every obstacle there is for the Serbs to participate in the elections. Tadic knows whats cooking up for him and Serbia in the near future. He is no going to destroy what Serbia has built so far towards the European future. Serbia is in a good path towards Europe and economical proserity. Just ask your self: Do you really want to have Kosovo a part of Serbia without the Albanian consent. It is just not going to work. Serbs should smarten up and participate in these elections and improve their way of life. One more thing you have go no idea how much money the Serbs are going to milk out of Kosovo, Serbia and the International Community in the name of community integreation.Europe and USA are not up for another crisis in Kosovo. This survey is not true since less than 40% of the Albanian populations themselves plan to vote never mind the Serbian population within Kosovo.
99% of the Serbian population in Kosovo want nothing to do with the Albanian government, the other 1 % of the population (low moral character) has been bought to co-operate.

An Albanian 'NGO' operating from Kosovo interviews 125 'Serbs' in one town. Knowing how they operate, it's NOT an NGO & the Serbs in question are Albanians with Serb-sounding surnames common in KosMet that end with 'iqi' with the last 'i' removed & a 'c' replacing the 'q' to make it seem like they're Serbs but they're actually descendants of albanized Serbs. This AMATEURISH poll is a desperate Albanian invention meant to confuse & demoralize Serbs.

One wonders why this ngo bothered with percentages with only 128 respondants.

One also wonders how many serbs when approached, simply ignored them - as with such a small sample size, this figure would have a significant negative effect on the results.

One also wonders why serbs north of the Ibar weren't polled as they make up a sizable portion of the kosovo serb population.

Given that they are not physically isolated from Serbia proper, they could be expected to be significantly more negative, so one wonders why they weren't included - as without them, a 'survey' cannot possibly make credible claims to be a survey of 'Kosovo's serb population - of which serbs north of the Ibar make up a major part.

Kind of appropriate for Kosovo however.. a pseudo-survey by a pseudo-ngo in a pseudo-state.

Demi

At least 35 % of the K.serbs will participate in the election. They have understood that Belgrade cannot help them and have no power to make changes in Kosovo. The goverment in Prishtina is to strong to handle and our influance on the international stage is bigger than Belgrade.

There is no reason for the K.serbs to live in isolation because the independence of Kosovo will never change. And yes Kosovo is multiethnic only when serbs partyicipate in election and daily life in Kosovo. Then Belgrade cannot say that Kosovo is not multiethnic and serbs are being ethnic cleaned from Kosovo. All that serb propaganda will fall and that is why serbs from Serbia dont want K.serbs to participate in the coming election.

Well K.serbs will participate and Belgrade will loose another battle. As usual...

These sham elections need be boycotted at all costs as they are an attempt to get the Serbs of the province to succumb to Albanian separatist domination.

What a load of rubbish. Now they have crystal balls to look into the future. When you see this over and over again in the west it’s so easy to pick out the deceptions it not funny.

Another ‘tool’ used to motivate people into thinking “maybe I should vote if 28% are going to vote”. That’s the logic behind this article.

Interviewing 125 in a city of 1000 people gives you a statical sample for that city. Article said they interview 125 people just in Gracanica. Read before you parrot the predictable BS. All the signs are that more Serbs will participate in this election than any previous ones.

It doesn't matter at all if there were 125 or 12500 people interviewed, the bottom line is that if they(serbs) vote they will have a Serbian mayor in their municipality.

BTW while I'm visiting Kosova I have been to Gracanica and Shterpca and trust me that no one is forcing Serb minority to vote.

Slowly but surely they're finding out that belggrade is using them for its' political purpose and probably they don't want to be belgrade pawns anymore.

Belgrade will help the Srbs in Kosova the same way they helped the Srbs in so called Srbska Krajina.Who will be blamed this time(OLUJA).
(Beni, 9 November 2009 03:43)

If You want to expell Serbs from kosovo, like doing Croats with USA support in Krajina - You are wrong.

Ben - Autonomna Pokrajina Kosovo i Metohija is home for Serbs, Bosniaks, Roma, Turks, Gorani etc. And of course K-Albanians.

This survey is not true since less than 40% of the Albanian populations themselves plan to vote never mind the Serbian population within Kosovo.
99% of the Serbian population in Kosovo want nothing to do with the Albanian government, the other 1 % of the population (low moral character) has been bought to co-operate.

of course this is rubbish, and if you wonder why this makes an article on this website, just research the financing of B92 and whats their interest.

STOP US-ALBANIAN OCCUPATION OF KOSOVO !

‘Non-governmental organization Kontakt’s surveys show that 28 percent of the Kosovo Serb population will participate in the coming local elections’

29% of the Serbs in Kosova must be Crazy then!! how on earth can you vote for someone who does absolutely nothing for you. Serbian Leaders in Kosova talk about what they are doing for more Serbs to come back to Kosova and yet they dont do nothing about poor serbs who are already in Kosova , our Kosovar Goverment Promises us Heaven on Earth!! and what do we get ??

Serbs only make 5% of the population and normally 50% of people come out in a very good year. We JUST need to say that "Serbs voted in Kosovo elections" and by definition recognize Kosova.

If you are from Canada (great country by the wayt) you know that in English it is Kosovo, not Kososva.

Stop acting childish like this!

It is Nederland in Dutch, but Niederlande in German. So if I write German I use Niederlande not Nederland!
Come on, get a life! PLEASE!
