Georgian FM renounces Russian citizenship

Interesting. So the opposition is not pro-Russian either. I can understand the reason.
Some people on this site tried to make believe that once bad Saaki would go away it would be brotherly love between Georgians and Russians. I guess people of the opposition want to keep their country independent too and not return it to a Russian colony status.

Poor guy has deep identity crisis, I guess.
We have so much common roots - and to have so many backgrounds is a God-sent blessing.

If someone like Vashadze or, say, Gruevski or Voronin does not want to be blessed - that is their personal loss.

To tell the truth, this is an issue less for Georgian or Russian passport agency, more for personal psychoanalyst of Mr. Vashadze.
