In a brighter future when all people are respected no matter what their religion or race, independance movements such as the nationalist croatian, bosnian muslim and albanian movements which destroyed the beautiful dream that was Yugoslavia, will be seen as backward, tribal and uncivilised.

I ask nationalist Croatian, Bosnian Muslim and Albanian posters if you are proud of your virtually complete mono ethnic bubbles as we move into an era of multi ethnic societies in a global village?

'Anyone for tennis?' as they say in England.

"Only if Serbia could learn from Hungary to treat their minorities with respect.
(Freedom, 13 October 2009 19:50)"

The problem with some minorities in Serbia is that they do not respect and appreciate Serbia and that is mainly because Serbia and Serbs were too tolerant and naive. All some of these minorities have to do is scream murder or fire and they get attention and nobody is actually checking out if this was actually true and justified. The Serbian constitution is very clear with respect to minorities and their rights and responsibilities. If you do not like it in Serbia feel free to leave. There are lots of mono-ethnic and intolerant countries in the area. But do not isolate yourself and your minority community and complain that you are discriminated and so on. That is how it works in most countries, but for some reason it always seems to be a problem in Serbia but not in other countries (because they keep it quiet and because they like to scapegoat Serbia for all that is bad in this world.
