"All people over the age of 65, regardless of whether they have worked anywhere or not, have the right to a pension."

Jézus Mária.... :-(

Sounds like a new Asylant-destination without even visa necessary. Aren't you guys afraid of abuse? I mean, not Albanians or anyone from ex-YU, but in a large number of countries 50 Euro/month is a big money. Plus you can live in relative peace and all you need to learn is how to live next to crazy Serbs and crazy Albanians. It's not like people being cut into pieces by machete on a daily basis or that 70% of population would be HIV positive...

This is coming from Serbia's budget and not the EUs. Serbia has a budget for the province and this is regarding pensions for Serbian citizens in Kosovo. If anything it is ethnic Albanians who will likely lose out if they don't intend to go to Belgrade and request a new ID card but I do expect some will.

"When will Serbia hand over the money stolen from the Kosova banks in 1999???"
aRta

I thought you said albanians were not in control of anything in 1999? All of the sudden you are saying you were incharge of a bank under Milosevic rule. Ha ha ha! When will albanians hand over Serbian territory they are occupying? Albanians in Kosovo never had anything. How can Serbs return 50 percent of nothing. And don't worry, it's the EU who is paying the pensions. Kosovo doesn't have an economy.

Kosovo Labor Minister Nenad Rašić said that most Serbs in Kosovo had little money and were on social welfare programs from the Kosovo budget.

You all know what is written on those ID cards:"Republic of Kosova"
After all they are getting their pensions from Kosova budget+maybe also from Serbia or maybe not.

aRta,

You raise very interesting questions about stolen pension and bank money. I am sure soomer or later Serbia has to make a restitution...and sooner would be better.

The average pension in Kosovo is about EUR 50. All people over the age of 65, regardless of whether they have worked anywhere or not, have the right to a pension.

When will Serbia hand over the stolen pensions from Kosova workers till 1999? People worked, you took the money, where's the pension???

When will Serbia hand over the money stolen from the Kosova banks in 1999??? What happened to those accounts?
