bganon, minorities almost never vote for the nationalistic parties. This is well known. Where did you get the idea that they vote for the nationalists? At the last elections the DS had the highest percents in results in municipalities where minorities were a majority. I mean come on, hungarians, vlachs, bosniaks, romanians, slovaks, bulgarians, etc... they all do not vote for the radicals, and come election time we always see their municipalities giving outstanding DS victories. Clearly most serbs in the first election and the runoff election voted for the nationalists. You might not like that, you might not want it to be so, but it is regardless of what you or I want.

Lazar I think that adding up the 'nationalist' parties coming to 48% and then claiming they have 'overwhelming support of the Serb population' is overstating the case.

And your other statement left me scratching my head too - minority voters usually vote for nationalist parties. The whole basis for minority parties is based upon their ethnic group.

So lets see... Progressives... 31... add the DSS... up to 38... and add the Radicals, which amounts to 48. DS and Liberals would total 40 percent.

So if elections were held today, the result will be a nationalist coalition. Nice. The socialists will fall off, and probably become irrelevant. Minorities form almost 20% of the population in Serbia, and considering that minorities everywhere do not vote for the nationalist parties, it is fair to say that the nationalists enjoy the overwhelming support of the serb population.
