There are about 90 million people who need a job in the EU and USA combined. no one in the balkans will get a job via west when millions in germany, france and usa are waiting in line to work. All of the jobs of today and tomorrow will come from china , india and brazil. serbia needs to be the european point of contact for the worlds true financial leaders..i have a feeling tadic and jeremic are starting to get it !!!BRAVO

it's all well and good developing ties with the rest of the world but Serbia should be aiming first and foremost for integration into the EU. Unfortunately I don't think it'll make it into the EU and neither will the rest of the Balkans (apart from Croatia) for a variety of reasons.

When I told people 2 years ago that Tadic had been bought out by the Russians & would soon take up Sloba's foreign policy, my Balkan friends, Serbs especialy, laughed at me. Now Tadic is closer to China than Sloba EVER was. Watch Tadic's domestic policy revert to Sloba's too.Tadic will abandon EU for BRIC. Yeah!

Well China trades with the whole world, and during the sanctions it was Chinese goods which often helped supply Serbs.

There are also more and more Chinese immigrants settling in the Balkans.

I think China can be a good opportunity for Serbia. I think Serbian engineers can do some projects (including joint projects) there. China has such a large market and if Serbs can get just a small but significant percentage of it for several products/services, then they have it made.

a china /serbia partnership makes all the sense in the world ..distance means nothing any more this isnt 1885 man...get with it WHEN china wants to partner with a country in the middle of EU but WITHOUT all the EU redtape..tariffs..taxes.high labor rates..etc WHEN china wants to open manufacturing locations and distribution points and warehouses for european markets again without EU redtape WHEN china wants highly educated workforce again without EU redtape...THEN CHINA YOU'VE COME TO THE PERFECT PLACE ..WELCOME TO SERBIA..same goes for india , russia , brazil and argentina..ETC serbia is waiting for you !!

Nato's bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade is of interest to both countries! A U.S. plane dropped the bomb that wrecked the embassy and killed Chinese staff. Supposedly it was due to an outdated map. Nonetheless it was a war crime and drew China and Serbia closer.

Kosova-USA: One could also apply the same principles to co-operation with your beloved US. North America does not equal Europe, the same as Asia.

Meanwhile in latest news here in Western Australia, the Chinese have just signed a deal to buy A$50b worth of LNG from us over 20 years. This of course is just pocket change for the Chinese.

Any fool can see that the future is with Asia, China still leads the world in strong demand for resources. If anything Serbia has nothing but to gain from this, would you knock back such an emerging powerful trade partner?

Oh, I almost forgot, China does not and will not ever recognise "Republic of Kosova" hence leaving the province in ever lasting limbo. No need for the sour grapes buddy!

Don't worry, once you guys wake up and smell the coffee and stop throwing the toys out of the pram, the people of Kosovo can continue to benefit from Serbia's prosperity.

"“There is no dilemma that in the next 20-25 years, China will take over a dominant role in some sectors of the economy, and therefore in international policies. This can be useful for Serbia,”"

I think this WILL BE useful for Serbia...

China is running out of cheap ($200/month)labor. With its need for jobs, low wage rates, and closeness to European markets, Serbia may be just what China is looking for.
