To immigration problems:
Saying "no" won't solve problems. The reasons of the immigration are many. If you want to contribute a little - and since we spoke recently about economic boycotts - I have to admit, we use some sort of boycott: we ignore useless food products grown at the expense of other countries. For instance, we more-less ignore Belgian and Holland tomatoes and buy ones from areas these tomatoes should grow naturally.
With current agricultural policies Western governments are paying subsidiaries to grow these monsters locally - but where these should grow (Africa, for instance) people have no jobs in agriculture. The "bio-diesel" is an other insanity, but it's to far-reaching to talk.
---------
To Thailand: the number of immigrants from Europe and States is astonishing. It's not just "some crazy child molesters" as Peter assumes. It's at a very large scale. Thai laws provide a backdoor for unlimited and uncontrolled immigration and it is abused at a large scale by people who are unwilling to adopt to Thai society.

You probably misunderstood my
posting.
What i meant is that it's too late for Europe to stop immigration. We can see all these desperate people from Africa,Iraq and Afganistan risking their lives to cross into Europe for better life.
With regard to Turkey,Greece together with Peter's country Poland ,support Turkey's membership. But the sheer size of Turkey and its
underdevelopment will require
vast sums of funds for many years in order to bring the country to EU standards. At present neither France nor Germany favour Turkish membership of the EU but again neither Merkel nor Sarkozy will be in power for ever.
As to your bit about Thailand, i totally agree.

Haider was a hitler sympathizer, historical revisionist, Holocaust revisionist, demagogue and out and out racist. as for those who sympathize with him, ask me why i am not surprised...
and mr. ataman: i am impressed (here) with your principled and anti-racist stand. perhaps i am having some small effect? :))
i do believe in rights, and wrongs, i am not a moral relativist. i despise religious extremism and fundamentalism, of all sorts. that is not what we are speaking about with mr. haider. sad (and scarey)to think that if hitler were with us today just how many supporters he would find...

Wow, what a comparison, comparing mass immigration into the West and the lack of integration skills and respect for Western values values by some of the immigrants to some depraved, perverted child molesters in Thailand.

>>> The final nail to Europe's coffin will come with Turkey's EU membership which it would probably happen within the next 15 years.
By then Turkey will be a monster with 100 million people and probably a 2 trillion economy and a massive army. Greece and Bulgaria will be overloaded with them so they should not let them in EU.

Peter, Leonidas - this is not just "politically incorrect", but just simply "incorrect" and unfair.
3 million years ago Euro-monkey did not climb down the tree earlier than Turkish monkey. Europe has it's own share of morons, child molesters and bigots.
No wonder, Europeans or Americans do not enjoy in Thailand high respect. Every time I was there I had to convince my conversation partners, I am there for taking pictures of traditional Thai architecture, not having "fun" with underage girls in Patpong district.
BTW: Patpong is full of Poles, Americans, Russians, Serbs, many Hungarians are there too... you know what they are doing there. So just keep quiet on that. Many wear big golden crosses.... perhaps in the hope, Jesus will forgive them for what they are doing.

I seriously doubt Turkey will get into the EU. One has to look at following factors:
1) Lisbon Treaty
2) Cyprus (their illegal invasion and illegal recognition of the north)
3) The fact that they are not meeting the requirements in the fields of the environment as well as public procurement
4) The fact they are a Muslim country with a growth rate that will push their population ahead of Germany
5) Austria and France
I am confident, my friend, that this country will never join the European Union.
It simply does not belong!

What did I say that was racist? I call it realist!
Theo Van Gogh made a movie showing some negative elements of Islam, he was killed, Pim Fortuyn said something about Moroccans, he was killed, the Danes who made the Mohamed cartoon, attempts were made on their lives, Danish flags were burned and embassies attacked, beheadings of American soldiers, not to mention terrorist bombings in London, Madrid, London etc. as well as the parts of Malmo, Paris, Amsterdam and London that are no longer safe to locals due to some Muslims calling it infidel-free. Why is it racist to say what I just said? It's the truth and has been documented by objective sources everywhere, sorry if it is offensive to you.
If some politician or newspaper says or prints a Polish joke, should I now go and kill this politician/journalist and burn the embassy and flag of the country in question because it offended the Polish people?
Is freedom of speech something Muslims cannot get into their heads, especially since it is them pouring into North America and Western Europe and not the other way around (in which case I might actually understand their perspective) and seeking a better life in the Western "infidel" lands?
Regarding other immigrants, well, if you think that uncontrolled mass immigration of people from poor countries and them settling with their families won't have an affect on the local populations in several years from now when the countries' carrying capacity limits in terms of housing, employment, governmental services and other things which were always available before, then I believe that you are naive. It is possibly only an opinion, but I doubt I am alone in it.
If I have offended you, I am sorry, though I strongly doubt anything I said is incorrect.

I foretell that there will come a time in Europe when people have enough of the immigrants coming from Africa, Asia and Muslim world.

I am pretty sure that this is the work of a Turkish assassin. It's funny how when someone says something negative about foreigners (especially Muslims), they end up dead (Pim Fortuyn and Theo Van Gogh in Holland, for example). I foretell that there will come a time in Europe when people have enough of the immigrants coming from Africa, Asia and Muslim world.
