Many forget that Kosovo is now, according to the Ahtisari plan, in the transitional period, where UNMIK has still the say on many things. After June 15, when Kosovo Constitution enters into power, Tadic & Co. will have to ask Kosovo Authorities for a permission to visit Kosovo.

After all, for me as a Kosovar its far better being a puppet state than living under Serbian rule :). And yes, do not worry about us or our sovereignity. It is a FALSE worry (as you like to say). At the end, we all know what Serbia thinks of us and what Serbias real goals are: Kosovo without Albanians.

"I do have to agree with the Serbian camp on this. This kind of sovereignty is ridiculous for want of a better word. Even so, I do not think that it is less ridiculous than any of the sovereignty parameters of many world countries. None of the countries in Europe for example has full control of their borders."

Hello village bey. This does not happen where there is full souverignty. Every country has full control of its borders. Your mistake is that you think Kosovo is a country with full independance, the reality is something completely different.
Whats still going on in Kosovo is that Resolution 1244 is still in place guaranting Serbias borders, which includes Kosovo. The unilateral indpendance doesn't change that, regardless of who has recognised it. Learn to live with that reality.

Have a good day.

I do have to agree with the Serbian camp on this. This kind of sovereignty is ridiculous for want of a better word. Even so, I do not think that it is less ridiculous than any of the sovereignty parameters of many world countries. None of the countries in Europe for example has full control of their borders. Under EU law, even persistent criminals cannot be removed from a specific EU state.
The presumption here is that Albanian authorities did not won’t Tadic to come but he came regardless. That must be true as this visit makes them look weak at best. The test here is rather misleading. Tadic’s visit can be read in many different ways. The most plausible of these explanations must be, a concession to figurehead that is pro-western, thus making him look more respectable in front of the Serb electorate. That should imply that visits of this kind are an exception to the rule rather then the rule itself. Not that I see anything wrong with Tadic or any other Serb visiting Kosova. The difference here is that, Serb politicians continue to use Kosova for different things. Albanians just want to live there.

"Joe & Co.,

Let's be realistic and test "kosova"(in)dependence. How can somebody walk around his own country freely - need to call big mamma and ask "Burkina Farso" head of the state for support.
"Still feel independent - wake up"
(dd, 25 April 2008 16:13) "

Despite bitter comments like these coming from the Serbs, what we have now ( call it whatever you want) is millions of times better than being governed and under the sovereignty of Serbia. It gets better every day.

President Tadic in his capacity as President of the Republic of Serbia can come and go in his own country as he pleases, which means free and unfettered access and that includes the Autonomous Province of Kosmet.

He also called on Kosovo's Serbs "not to act destructively toward the Kosovo institutions", and asked the Serb community in Prizren to "join political processes and institutions"
...

Kosovo institutions are non existant. I can call Hell's Angels thugish order-a-killing an 'security institution', but that doesn't make it so. Its still a thugish murder for money.

Serb's cannot and should not accept illegitimate and corrupt activities masked as 'institutions'. Especially since those so called 'institutions' illegitimately proclaimed independent a piece of Serbian land.

"I do not know who will be in charge. This is a question for UNMIK," he said, and added that the May 11 elections in Kosovo were also "unacceptable".

Well at least the President knows the real masters of the puppet state....the UN.

I really can't believe the leader of this self proclaimed (non)entity actually admitted that "I do not know who will be in charge".

Truly a goverment with their fingers on the pulse....not.
