Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dačić has ruled out the possibility of a coalition with the Democratic Party (DS).

This is rather embarassing for the DS, to be rejected publicly by the socialists after courting them only a couple of days before. The Radicals don't want the socialists, and the socialists don't want Tadic. If the DS coalition were a boat, we would could say that the rats had started to jump ship, and that is a sure sign of a sinking ship

Its no accident that this interview is given to Novosti and no accident that this comes only days after SRS ruled out any co-operation in government with SPS.
No, Mr Dacic's political ambition outweighs any professed political principle he currently claims.
Still, its a statement that will shake up the 'democratic' block campaigns.

SPS leader also said that he would insist on arresting Mr. Kostunica that ousted Milosevic from power.
