Tom,

IC as a notion means all relevant countries and institutions in actual world politics and strategic scene in Europe and world. It is your right to consider or ignore them!!! UNSC, EU, NATO, CG, Kosovo neighbour states are important players in this scene and without impact of Russia, which is fighting to improve its own position in this scene and not realy protecting 'Serbia's cause', there would be wider support for Kosovo independence.
The other contries from other continents you mentioned are welcome to express their opinion, but firstly they should invest on knowing history and actual situation in Kosovo. Some of them have some connections with Kosovo reality through their officers being part of international bodies acting in Kosovo since 1999. Anyway, they will be invited to recognize independent Kosovo soon.
Finally, there can not be 100% world consensus in any matter across the world!!!

Once again, good luck Kosovo on your own way, justice is in your side...

it´s great to see how our albanian friends celebrate their wishful thinking...

one thinks to have the international community on his side...

the other feels the necessity turn the inside-out an upside-down... like miri who in all seriousness thinks that Serbia has to declare Kosovo it´s integral part...

miri, they do not have to declare what is already a fact. do you see the difference?

and to the other smart-guy:
Bolton does certainly not live in the past...since he is referring to a current issue and comes up with current arguments... if you haven´t realized it yet.

Dane,
You say: "All moves of Kosovars towards independency were and are in coordination with IC and supported by IC."

What do you mean by IC? Have the South American countries said anything? The Asian countries? Africa? Australia?

What you mean by IC is what the Americans mean by the term - western countries that supports them. In fact, a small minority of countries in the full IC.

What kind of "negotiation" is Bolton talking about? What was doing President Ahtisari and Troika until now...? He must be more clever....coming out with some "fantastic" ideas...)

This is actually a very important statement, as Bolton is close to the Bush administration, and an uber-hawk on foreign policy. In my opinion he has been one of the best members of the Bush team, and his words are sensible.
(Bruce, 6 February 2008 15:39)

Actually he is a civilian these days, back then when he was the U.S. Ambassador to the UN he was the strongest supporter pushing ahead for Kosovo Independence. But, as fast he was replaced he changed side by being lobbied by others who's intentions are not letting Kosovo go its own way.

What are unilateral moves for Bolton?!
All moves of Kosovars towards independency were and are in coordination with IC and supported by IC.
If Kosovars would choose unilateral moves many things would be different and many things would be set till now.
Only intentional declarations and people can say opposite and deny...
Good luck Kosovo on your own way...

The media loves reporting negative information. Whether 2008 is the year for Republicans or Democrats, one thing is for sure, Kosova will gain independence and no speaker/representative or senator can stop it.

Bolton shouldn't speak as an expert about Kosova when he has never been there.

Bolton live in the past and speak in past tense. Train already left Negotiations station and is going so close to Independence station. A failed diplomat cannot stop that train. Sorry.

John Bolton's comments indicate that there is little common ground amongst
the US administration with
regard to Kosovo's future and
i won't be surprised if there
is a total u turn in the next
few days.They all realise now
the folly of their policies
and the fact that kosovo will
not be ' sui generis' case as
claimed by the EU and the US
administration.

"According to him, the most controversial aspect of the U.S. and the EU positions in the crisis is that they allow the Kosovo Albanians to state that "if they do not get what they want they will proclaim independence unilaterally.""

While many others believe that the most controversial aspect of Russia's position in the crisis is allowing Serbia to declare Kosova as an integral part of its territory with endless resolutions and changes to their constitution as they see fit.
