pre 18 godina
Well if the south is unstable
it is becuase of the OSCE, the U.S. and UK as well as their proxy Albanians who live there.Think about this whom benefits from instability? Would Serbia benefit at this time if its security services were the cause of perceived instability? NO I hate to lay blame but look at how things played in Kosovo-Metohija before 99 and you see whom benefits from this.
This Ragmi Mustafa is trying to cause trouble you can see it as clear as day.The Serbian army does not need his permission to place itself in a major flashpoint
where his ethnic group has caused an insurgency before.B92 is this really newsworthy are are you part of the problem? So many or your "news" stories are dubious and there is no surprise whose interests you serve because I can see it is agenda based reporting

Olf, then the same needs to be done for the Serbs whose churches and homes were destroyed in 2004.
You see? There is no point in crying over spilled milk. this issue should slide and in order for peace to exist, both sides have to remember the past, but not let it become a part of their future together, because otherwise, Kosovo independence or not, there will be no stability in the region. For peace to exist, there must be concessions from both sides. Neither side is above the other.

" A DPA statement, signed by party leader and Preševo mayor Ragmi Mustafa, calls on the international community, the OSCE, and the U.S. and UK embassies in Belgrade to "continue to monitor the region and use their authority to influence institutions with jurisdiction to maintain order and peace". "
This I find very strange considering that in 1992 the municipalities of Presevo, Medveda and Bujanovac wanted to organize a referendum to join them to Kosovo. Not only that, but the UCPMB set up bases in the demilitarized zone, where attacks on Serbian civilians became so bad that NATO had to give Serbia permission to militarize the zone to protect their own citizens in their own country!
Sorry for my impartiality in this issue against the Albanians, but here is the situation: Serbia is about to lose Kosovo based on ethnic division, outside of the UNSC, you have this region with its recent history that wants to join Kosovo, people don't think Serbia will want to secure the region? Suppose the Serbs North of the Ibar will want to separate from Kosovo and join Serbia, I suppose the Kosovo Albanians will not want to militarize the region and prevent tension after 10 Dec?
I hope the international community sees this as no more than a provocation and looks to deal with the more serious issue at hand: namely the Kosovo status issue.

bmrusila: Again, and again the same. Albanians in Valley should be offered some temporary accomodation in Central serbia if they are so upset...
- It seems like the Serbs have gotten used to such tactics of demographic shifting thus what you suggest is quite realistic, considering the amount of people displacement Serbia has caused.
bmrusila: Why would they fear Serbian Forces?
- It is not only irresponsible, but ignorant and offensive that you question why these Albanians fear the Serbian Army - that same army that not too long ago drove out 800,000 Albanians from their homes.
bmrusila: I wish all these Organisations and embassies come to Valley and estimate the situation. But Albanians should know that this time provoking and victim acting won't work. Serbia is backed to take actions against ANA if its members try to provoke unrest.
bmrusila, you talk as if you are in Preveso valley right now and are assessing the situation - with such scenario being highly unlikely. What's the matter, you cannot trust Albanians? If not, then why should they trust these masked soldiers?

this statement or whatever it is one big provocation from the first letter to the last, and especially the last which is tragic comic really, 'to stay in their homes'. excuse me cousins, who's driving you out? has someone threatened? its 07 not 99, quit playing the victim. your favourite serb mr milosevic is pushing the daisies and serbia is a country with a 360 degrees different position in the world. cheap provocation, nothing more. couple of days ago they put up albanian flag on municipal building in presevo, thats how scared and endangered they are.
and for godsakes forget this serbian forces withdraw mantra, its silly. serbian forces, serbia, they go together like strawberries and cream :) seriously, think instead about how 1000 serbian troops will return to kosovo as per 1244. my bet is that the new administrative line will run somewhere along the ibar.
