Well, I am positive that Mr. Carpenter does not represent the opinion of the majority of political analysts and other Think Tanks here in the U.S.

The very simple fact, why the U.S. supports Kosova's Independence represents a mystery for this expert, which is so simple, direclty linked with the freedom and self-determination of Kosovar people, shows that he is not well informed about the real situation in the Balkans.

Also the fact that he talks about "Greater Albania" and "Greater Kosova", very unrealistic things and productions of Serbo-Russian propaganda, shows that he is either paid by Russian and Serbian mafia people here in the U.S. or is too naive.

I would recommend Voice of America to consult the true American experts all around the U.S. who are sure that the Independence for Kosova is the only real solution for peace and stability in the Balkans and that is actually in the interest of Serbs themselves, both those that live in Kosova as well as those that live in Serbia.

Talks need 2 sides to take place, and the Kosovar team has categorically denied it's presence in this Russio-Serb pretext to buy more time.

Tomorrow is the final day of talks, December 10th is the deadline to submit a report to the UN...and soon thereafter, the Kosovar government will coordinate the immediate declaration and recognition of independence.

Russia can react any way that it wants, but one thing is sure...it won't be able to make countries "unrecognize" Kosovo, after recognizing it.

Serbia can do all the blockades it wants, the Kosovar government and the Western supporters have planned a safe landing after independence way ahead.

Russia and Serbia have been successfully neutralized, and their effect won't be heard at all.

Mr.Carpenter could have hit the nail..

Even Mr.Rupel from Slovenia has said that a unilateral "declaration" is out of question.

I am very eager to read the explanations of the snake-brained "hero" on this...

who was it recently, counting the days until december 10th?

are you still that confident, dude?

"Asked why Washington insisted on Kosovo's independence, Carpenter said that the reason for such a great interest of the United States in Kosovo represents "a great mystery" for him."
And he is a vice president of a think tank!
Maybe that it’s the right thing to do in Europe? Let’s face it Europe doesn’t have the willpower to do much without the push or help from the big brother.

Without Russian support talks will continue for all eternaty. Its not an option. The alternative is unimaginable and EU countries will never agree to it. Russia will see to it to recognise anyone it chooses if they choose to ignor Russia. Then the UN will die.
