Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Malta and Sweden are EU member states but not members of NATO.

This demonstrates that NATO membership is not mandatory for EU membership.

Oh well if that is case I guess NATO memebership will be added as part of the SAA agreement. I guess this makes EU memebership all the more attractive to Serbia's populace - lose 15% of your territory and you must join NATO and thus send your troops on US wars around the world ! It would be interesting to see the results of a poll for EU memebership with this new requirement!

This is ridiculuos, the double standards never stop! America is meddling far too much in European affairs and destabilizing the Balkans. It is high time that a group of European countries come together and speak out against the Americans. NATO is America, everyone knows that. Since when do you have to join an American war club to be part of Europe? If this turns out to be truly the case I don't think you will see Serbia joining either clubs... So much for the carrot the EU was dangling to the Serbs to give up Kosovo!

Than 88,361 / 10,887 = 12.3%

Get some facts straight. Kosovar-Serbs barely make 5%, yet Serbia wants Northern portion of Kosova. If you applied that logic to Macedonia that has 27% Albanian minority than they should get the same deal.

Tanja Miščević should be fired from her post, not for being pro-Nato or expressing her opinon. But because she clearly is not qualified for the job if she does not even know that several EU nations are not member of Nato and certainly does not say anywhere that Nato is a precondition for EU.

This should be addressed by her officials ASAP.
