RE: Rule of Law

What do you expect?

If a nation is headed by a paid mercentary and terrorist named Agim Ceku, you think the people have any notion about the rule of law, the constitution, and freedom of religion?

Even the Communists had some respect for the Church, albeit in order to mantain the dictatorship over the proletariot.(sp)

Misguided like the kids who were coached by adults to say that a bad Serb drowned their friends?

"These people" knew what they were doing, just like the ones who destroyed / vandalized 100's of other holy places.

Who had the key? DUH, all the windows were broken. Pretty easy to get inside that way.

These scumbags should be forced to clean it all up under military supervision.

oh yeah...of course, serbian secret service did it, how comes I did not think of it earlier???
it was Albion who was needed to come up with this revelation!

while not being able to face your own extremists, you constantly whine about how you were mistreated...
and YOU have the nerve to call the Serbs cowards???

what are you then, please???

Oh Alban, Alban, Alban, my dear dear friend, most people would look at my comments and conclude that the people that DID the actual descecration were the "sick" ones. You're far too paranoid if you automatically assume I'm blaming Albanians as a society and as a race for this. Don't put extremism in my meaning when you know damn well it wasn't there in the first place.

Before all serb-sympathisers start writing an essay on how albanians are trying to destroy the serb nation and blah blah blah. stop!

Even if it was albanians that did this, then it was probably some young immature teenagers with nothing better to do. There are teenagers writing graffiti and vandalising in every country in Europe inlcuding Serbia. It is just some misbehaved kids. And I am sure they have vandalised other albanian property as well.

If these were organised albanian adults who where genuinely trying to destroy everything serbian, then they would have burned the whole church or bombed it, and they would not do something childish like spray 'KLA' with a grafitti.

I would like to shed some light and stop all the propaganda.
Firts of all, no one attend this church and no body maintains the facility itself. The front door was open with key and the big question is who haas the key, obviously Albanians don't have the key. There is nothing of value inside , only bare walls. There is a serb family that lives across the church, which is right in the middle of Peja city.
i personally condem these type of acts, but I think is premature to jump to wtrong conlusion and right away to blame Albanians. I live and work in Peja and pas by every day on my lunch brake.
Polie are working intesivly to find the culprits, but first they have to find the owner who posses the key to main gate , which orthodox church is being cooperative, and this makes me wonder WhY THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO COOPERATE, For instance, Dobrilla which is the chief spokesperson in Peja Patriarch knows the answer about the key and everything else as well.My story is athentic, and B92 can easaly verify if Dobrilla is in Peja Patriarch, I can even describe her in details if anybody is interested.

Well i am waiting for a comment the serbs did this to make the albaninas look bad. I was on the streets of kosovo yesterday and there were lots of people just hanging around doing nothing. I have read alot the potential of energetic young people waiting to work but i only saw young people hanging out drinking coffee and smoking cigareets instead of looking for work. I am afraid that the people of kosovo now who want UNMIK out because they are not a free wheeling with money as before. They will see once the EU has there stint of adminstrating kosovo they will be crying for UNMIK. I am really afraid of what will happen in a year or two when things do not go as what the people want. You must learn to walk before you can run.

at this rate, very soon there will be no more churches left in Kosovo to destroy. Then UNMIK and everyone in the West will cynically congratulate themselves that the destruction has stopped!

Another act of the serbian secret service, to justify the request by the Belgrade nagotiating team of protection of churches by the sebian forces. It is not going to fly, nice try though.

These people either want to sabotage Kosovo while it's going through this difficult process or are some juveniles that don't know better. At the same time I blame Orthodox Church leaders for not accepting the protection offered to their sites by the Kosovo security services. If you are concerned about your sites give up on politics and let police do their job.

Be specific! Otherwise, it'll be taken as the most racist comment I have evere heard on B92.

This crime sickens me! The church did not commit any crime against K- Albanians, this goes to show that the main mission is to ethnically-cleanse all Serbs from Kosovo.

Obilic

Arent the albanians on this site going to blame the Serbs somehow for this? Its a shame the international community doesnt do more to prevernt and stop these crimes. Serbian troops will be most effective at stopping these criminal acts of violence!

Jovan

probably some misguided kids who weren´t told by their parents that a church is a holy place...

but that´s not that criminal as the attempt to take away serbian territory.

there is a difference in the level of crime.

I personally agree with luciano, it´s disgusting, but nothing that can´t be fixed again, unless there is some cultural heritage destroyed.

but as always, there will nobody be held accountable for that. the socalled kosovo-police seems to have too much work with molesting serbian civillians.

RE: PEC

It continues and Kosovo is still not independant. All monasteries must be monitored by Serbian troops as stipulated by UNSC 1244, UNMIK and the KPC do not have the mandate and incentive to do so.

It's a disgrace.
