Too late for that Daniel, its been done. Type in 'serbs' in google images and the first thing you see is a man in uniform holding a gun to a childs head. This is very indicative of how the west portrays Serbs as a nation, not specific individuals who, nobody denies, committed war crimes, but the nation as a whole. How many Serbs died in Bosnia and Croatia? 'Just five, and that was in a car accident while they were trying to run over muslim and Croatian children' according to CNNs most beloved Amanpour, who, might I add, probably did more damage to Serbia with her propaganda than NATO did in 78 days of bombing.

Daniel said: "yes but most serbs support the men most responsible for war crimes and denying what happened and until they do take responsibility, whole world will class them as a nation of warmongers."

Where is the undisputeable evidence to support the claim of war crimes? Where can this evidence be corroborated outside of the usual onesided accusations by Reuters and them reproduced by BBC, NYTimes, WashPost, etc.?

I think Victor identified himself as a Frenchman. The French killed around a 500,000 Algerian Muslims in the wars there.

The Algerians claim up to a million.

Wonder why he doesn't criticize French crimes against Algerian Muslims and why the French aren't on trial for war crimes over that.

Congratulations Serbia from Israel. :)

* Too (???) very false comment and totally untrue, in my opinion Serbia was the most Accepting of all nations in the Balkans that I have been too. I was treated very well and I wont forget there kindness. *

Victor I don't know what nation you are from but if you happen to be from a a "Western or EU Nation" I can tell you that Serbs have done far less then those countries have.

British
French
Dutch
etc.. All did horrendous things and grew rich under there well stocked slave camps!

In my opinion don't try and compare your selfs as "Betters" when unlike you the Serbian people were under the harsh rule of others and know what suffering is.

As (nyoutlawyer) stated I as well know dozens of Serbs as work partners and as personal friends. You have a very blurred image of Serbs sir, I will leave you at that and hope you "dare" to fight for "injustice" where ever it might be and not just in Serbia....

Crimes were committed from all sides (including sweetheart NATO and USA), but one must realize that whereas the Croatian and Federation Governments advocated ethnic cleansing policies, Yugoslavia and Serbia officially fought to maintain their integrity. Crimes were committed by gangs who wern't authorized by anyone (if they were show me the proof). Thats the difference-we had people who were rightfully angry and did some bad things, but their governments pushed policies of ethnic cleansing and criminal policies. See the difference?

to ????:

do you know how many Albanians are living in Serbia without being even touched? there are only 100.000 alone in Belgrade...
so, who is that person recommending you not to travel to Serbia??? such a nonsense you´ve been told...

and Victor:
Serbs themselves know very well what happened in KiM, and Serbia is punishing those who committed crimes against albanian civilians, I call you to inform yourself, since that information is publicly available!
the problem is rather that albanian accusations are extremely exaggerated ( 10.000 dead instead of the 3000 being stated by the UN-estimations and that means both serbian and albanian victims included ) so, it´s no wonder, that Serbs are fed up with those lies and false accusations.

and if the Albanians are not completely naive, they will realize that they will have more freedom within a Serbian state giving them broad autonomy than under the rule of UN and EU... like they are showing neo-colonial attitudes towards the peoples of the balkans for years now...

Happy Statehood day. Maybe some day i can come back to Belgrade. I remember arond 1990-1992 it wasnt so smart to go there to fly out of the country with a bosniak last name, but right now i have a girlfriend who is from zemun, it's funny how things work out :)

All the best luck to Serbia in the next year and all years to come, i will probably be visiting this summer. :)

To the Serbs:

Happy statehood day. Wish Serbs good luck with everything but Kosovo.

I hope I one day can visit Serbia without being afraid of being attacked by any one. I actually wanted to visit Serbia but an official working with tourism said that it was not safe for me to do that, especially not now.

Serbia and the Serbs need a new beginning and not continuation. Once again happy statehood day.

I know a lot of Serbians, and not one committed any war crime. Do you personally know of any? It was war and crimes did happen. All sides are guilty of that.

Victor

A new beginning and a New Covenant. Something wrong happened in Serbia between 1990 and 2000, and very few Serbs admit what happened. Instead they point il all directions, accusing the EU, the USA. And they remain full of hatred and deviance towards those, like me, who dare to remind them their crimes and atrocities.
