Army chief: Trepca decision threat to security in Kosovo

Dikovic stressed, during a meeting with KFOR Commander Major General Giovanni Fungo, that the unilateral decision of the interim institutions in Pristina in relation to the status of the Trepca mining complex poses a "threat to the fragile security situation in Kosovo and Metohija", a statement of the Ministry of Defense said.

Dikovic stated that KFOR must ensure safety and security to all citizens of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.

This was the first meeting of the two generals since General Fungo assumed his duties as the commander of international forces in our southern province, it was published on the MoD website.
