Batrovci crossing closed amid truck driver protest

At 22:45 CET on Tuesday Croatia reopened the Sid crossing for passenger vehicles and buses, while trucks are being rerouted to Stara Gradiska.

Passengers wait at these crossings from 60 to 90 minutes.

Truck drivers at Batrovci, meanwhile, are not allowing passenger vehicles to pass in any direction. They have been protesting in this way since 21:30 last night because Croatian authorities opened the crossing only for trucks carrying perishable goods, which angered the drivers who have been waiting for days to cross into that country.

All other border crossings between Serbia and Croatia remain closed, while all crossings with Hungary are opened today.

Bajmok, Djala, and Backi Vinogradi are open from 09:00 until 19:00 CET.

Beside Serbian and Hungarian citizens, citizens of EU countries, Switzerland, Norway and Ireland can also travel across these border crossings. Passenger vehicles wait up to 30 minutes.
