American Pop Art exhibition to open in Belgrade

The greatest artists of the American pop art will be presented to the Belgrade audience for the first time as part of an exhibition which will open on May 15.

American Pop Art exhibition to open in Belgrade

The "American Pop Art" exhibition will display over 30 original graphics of renowned artists Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, John Chamberlain, James Rosenquist and Tom Wesselmann, organizers announced.

After last year's success of "Four Cats" showcasing works of art by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro and Antoni Tapies, which drew 20,000 visitors, "American Pop Art" is likely to become a major cultural event of the year, Tanjug reported.

The exhibition will be open by June 16, and the works on display are owned by Živa and Lazar Vujić, collectors from Slovenia.

Entrance is free to all visitors as the exhibition is a gift from New Moment Gallery to the City of Belgrade.
