New Macedonian ambassador presents credentials

"The Republic of Serbia has a true friend, good neighbor and active partner in the Republic of Macedonia and Macedonia has been continuously supporting Serbia," Jovanovska Tipko said and added that the two countries "will continue sharing the common European values, principles and future in the big European family of countries."

Noting that Serbia and Macedonia are maintaining excellent relations and intense cooperation on the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels, Jovanovska Tipko said that there is still some potential which can be put to good use and developed further.

Nikolić said that good neighborly relations "constitute one of Serbia's top priorities in terms of foreign policy and added that the country will continue strongly supporting all activities which contribute to overcoming differences and identifying the common aspects of the nations of Serbia and Macedonia."

The two countries' need for mutual support and better connections is becoming increasingly pronounced on the path to our common goal of EU membership, the president said.

Earlier in the day, Nikolić received the credentials of newly-appointed ambassadors of Australia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Kazakhstan.
