Murdered KM councilor buried in northern Kosovo

Member of the northern Kosovska Mitrovica municipal assembly Dimitrije Janićijević was buried on Friday at the local cemetery in Rudan, near Zvečan.

ZVECAN Member of the northern Kosovska Mitrovica municipal assembly Dimitrije Janicijevic was buried on Friday at the local cemetery in Rudan, near Zvecan. Janicijevic was shot and killed in front of his house in Kosovska Mitrovica early on Thursday. Among those who paid their respects to the tragically deceased Janicijevic were Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Slobodan Petrovic, leader of the Citizens' Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic, and many others. Janicijevic, 35, was a councilor of the Independent Liberal Party and candidate for the mayor of northern Mitrovica in local elections that were held in late 2013.
