Putin "does not plan to visit Serbia this year"

MOSCOW Russian President Vladimir Putin "for now does not plan to visit Serbia by the end of this year," the Beta news agency has quoted a Kremlin source as saying. Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic was in Moscow on Wednesday where he said that construction works on the pipeline would start by the end of the year. Putin "does not plan to visit Serbia this year"

The media in Serbia reported previously that the Russian president could visit Serbia by the end of 2013 in order to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the branch of the South Stream pipeline in Serbia.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić was in Moscow on Wednesday where he said that construction works on the pipeline would start by the end of the year.

He on previous occasions invited Putin to attend the ceremonies.
