Serbian currency strengthens by 0.3 percent

BELGRADE The Serbian dinar strengthened against the euro on Thursday, increasing in value by 0.3 percent or RSD 0.33, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has released. The official middle exchange rate is today RSD 113.2715 for one euro, the NBS has said in the release. This year the dinar hit its lowest value against the euro on August 9, at the rate of RSD 119.0723 for one euro, and the strongest on January 11, when one unit of the hard currency was worth RSD 103.6922. The indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate dropped by 0.5 percent and it is now RSD 88.7638 for one dollar. Compared to a month ago, the dinar is by 0.3 percent weaker against the dollar. The national currency is now 1.5 percent stronger against the euro compared to a month ago and it is down by 9.9 percent compared to a year ago.

This year the dinar hit its lowest value against the euro on August 9, at the rate of RSD 119.0723 for one euro, and the strongest on January 11, when one unit of the hard currency was worth RSD 103.6922.

The indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate dropped by 0.5 percent and it is now RSD 88.7638 for one dollar.

Compared to a month ago, the dinar is by 0.3 percent weaker against the dollar. Year-on-year, it weakened by 16.2 percent, the NBS has said.
