Its spacious garden is nicely set up and offers plenty of shade. Naturally, we started with the aperitif – brandy served in the traditional "cokanjce“ (a small glass bottle) dipped into a vessel filled with ice. We continued with the warm entree: the grilled mushrooms were of standard taste, a bit more seasoned than usual, while the tomato pottage was sweet and sour, impeccable in taste. We mustn’t forget the excellent homemade bannock prepared with butter which was served with the entree. For the main course, we ordered turkey in gorgonzola sauce with prunes (in our case without the prunes), but the waiter kindly apologized for this omission. The stuffed pork fillet rolled in bacon was average. We suggest you consult with the waiter before ordering – regardless of the long menu, the quantity of meals actually on offer is unfortunately very short. Our overall impression is that this once highly recommendable restaurant has a long way to go to regain its former status. Meal for two: 2,100 dinars. Located at the very entrance to the Skadarlija district, this renowned restaurant is nowadays more a place for tourists, celebrations and family lunches than for bohemians - something it was once known for.
