When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the shade and pleasant atmosphere under linden trees, otherwise, you can count on a typical tavern-like atmosphere: commotion and the aromas of grilled meat. Pottages here are served in the old-fashioned way: poured directly into the plate. The veal pottage is strong, thick and full of meat. While ‘strolling’ through the menu, the smell of grilled meat will lead the way. First, choose the meats: cevapi, pljeskavica, vesalica... and then the manner in which you would like it prepared: stuffed, rolled, with cream… Don’t forget about Karadjordjeva steak: perfectly breaded, crunchy, practically grease-less, the meat is well thinned and juicy, with lots of cream. The portion of smoked pork fillet is absolutely huge, but there is a slight disagreement in regards to the thickness and juiciness. The French fries and sopska salad are average. If in the end you feel like something sweet, we recommend homemade sour cherry pie: it will arrive hot, one portion is enough for two, the pastry is crunchy and the cherries plentiful. Service is quick – the well trained waiters will bring everything you have ordered in a rather short time. In case you succeed in managing the ample portions, make yourself comfortable, enjoy a glass of wine or a mug of tap beer and listen to the pleasant tunes of old-town songs. Meal for two costs 2,100 dinars. For years, this place has been taking care of the tradition of old Serbian taverns.
