"300 people from Kosovo fought in Syria and Iraq"

"Around 300 Kosovo citizens have so far fought in the wars in Syria and Iraq," Kosovo's Interior Minister Skender Hyseni said on Wednesday.

"300 people from Kosovo fought in Syria and Iraq"

Eight cases from 2014 have been transferred to the Special Prosecutor's Office, with four cases including 19 suspects, two having two and one case being in the preliminary stages of investigation, spokesperson of the Special Prosecutor's Office Liridona Kozmaci-Hajdaraj explained.

The Special Prosecutor's Office has 117 terrorist suspects, and four indictments against 14 people accused of inciting others to criminal action, participation in terrorist activities and terrorist groups or providing funds and resources to terrorists were raised in 2015, Kozmaci-Hajdaraj pointed out.

The other persons are accused of recruiting fighters for the war in Syria and joining an Albanian group that fought in the war on ISIS' side, she remarked.
