FM receives "Guest of Honor" award in Buenos Aires

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Dačić thanked his hosts and noted that many years of friendship and a high degree of understanding connect Serbia and Argentina.

"On the international level, Serbia and Argentina generally hold the same views, and I would like to emphasize that our two countries are also bound by the constant need to preserve our independence and territorial integrity," Dačić said.

He added that Serbia and Argentina mark 85 years of diplomatic relations and that both countries should continue to work on further improving their ties .

"The beauty of Buenos Aires is reflected not only in architecture but also similar mentality of our two peoples, and I therefore believe that Belgrade and Buenos Aires should become sister cities," Dačić said and urged his hosts to visit the Serbian capital.

Dačić visited the stadium of the Boca Juniors football club, at the invitation of this sports society.

The minister expressed satisfaction that he visited one of the most successful football clubs of the world, "pointing out that the love of sports, and especially football, was one of the many similarities that connects Argentinian and Serbian people", the Serbian MFA said.
