Serbia "expects opening of chapter in EU talks"

Keefe "showed understanding for the difficult reform process the government is conducting, and particularly noted the significance of economic reforms aimed at ensuring a better life for the Serbian citizens over the medium term."

Joksimović also discussed with Banu a continuation of the successful cross-border cooperation as part of IPA projects and the specific technical support Romania is providing to Serbia in the process of European integrations.

They also discussed "ways to improve the position of the Romanian national minority in Serbia and possibilities for cooperation within the Danube Strategy."
