“It is a realistic goal based on compliance with the obligations stemming from the Stabilization and Association Agreement,” she said.

Joksimović pointed to the mutual interest of EU enlargement, adding that it is a policy where everyone is a winner.

She thanked the EU member states for their constant expert and financial support, noting that the EU is the largest donor of development aid in Serbia. As an example of solidarity, she pointed to the funds allocated to repair the damage caused by the May floods.

Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo said that Serbia has a well-developed, comprehensive system of economic, political, cultural and social relations with the EU and its members, the release states.

Prior to the meeting, Joksimović also noted that the visit by a COELA delegation is significant in view of the latest changes and appointments in the EU.
