Dačić to visit Berlin in late August

We are pleased that Germany is interested in the EU accession of Serbia and other Western Balkan countries, he underscored.

The conference in Berlin should contribute to the strengthening of relations with Germany and intensification of the European integration process, Dačić said and added that Austria will host such a meeting next year.

He announced that Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdzžja will visit Belgrade on August 20, adding that Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird would also visit Serbia this month, which will be the first visit of a Canadian foreign minister to the country in the past 13 years.

The foreign minister announced that he will take part in the international conference concerning the lessons drawn from World War I in Salzburg on August 25.

He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will soon release the data on the wages of ambassadors in diplomatic and consular offices worldwide because the data reported in the media is not correct.

Dačić noted that the working group in charge of finalization of the draft law on foreign affairs has been set up with the aim of ensuring full professionalisation in the work done by embassies, rationalization of funds and achieving higher savings.
