Leader of the opposition DS party Bojan Pajtić says he is not considering stepping down as head of the provincial government in Vojvodina.

Pajtić "isn't considering stepping down"
He made the comments for Tanjug in response to some media reports that said he was going to leave the position.Pajtić urged the media to "stick to official information," stressing out that "in the last two years, all unofficial, from behind the scenes information pertaining to the provincial government proved to be false."
The reports in question said that Pajtić "perhaps will no longer serve as head of the Vojvodina government after its reconstruction, expected in the fall."
According to the media, he is ready to withdraw from the position in favor of the League of Vojvodina Social-Democrats (LSV) if they are willing to accept his proposal "and take responsibility."
Tanjug also reported that it received confirmation from the Democratic Partyprovincial board president Miroslav Vasin that they were not considering giving the position to another party, nor about "another personnel solution" for the post.
Vasin added that the DS believes, "given the largest number of seats in the Assembly of Vojvodina," that it is entitled to the position, and that Pajtić should remain in office.
He added that the DS was open for talks "about all other solutions."
The LSV told the agency that previous discussions about the reconstruction of the provincial government did not touch on the issue of its president, and that the party "insists on defining a program platform and the structure of a government that can implement that program, and it will only then discussed cadre solutions."
The party's officials also recalled they had "repeatedly stressed they are not interested in positions of provincial secretaries, or any other, but in what specifically will be done in favor of improvements for citizens."
