At the start of the talks Medvedev welcomed Vučić and asked how he felt, to which the Serbian prime minister responded in Russian: "Very good, as I always do in Russia."

According to announcements, the two prime ministers are discussing bilateral relations, trade and economic cooperation, including large joint energy and infrastructure projects.

They further talked about loans for finance, transport, industry, and agriculture sectors, and humanitarian and culture-related issues, the Russian government said in a statement.

On Tuesday, Vučić will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss "perspectives of further strengthening of political dialogue between Serbia and Russia."
