Kombank joins B92 Fund's humanitarian campaign

It is expected that in this way, through the "Together for Babies" campaign in collaboration with the B92 Fund, more than RSD 2 million will be donated per month.

"We urge our clients to use cards instead of cash, because they will in this way directly increase the amount of funds that the bank will donate to maternity wards," Komercijalna Banka Executive Board President Ivica Smolić said as he signed a contract with the B92 Fund.

"It is our wish that all of our clients, without any cost to them, share a sense of active participation in a very important social responsibility project run by their bank. Both they and the overall public will have permanent access to the exact amount of donated funds, thanks to a counter that will be posted on the website of the bank, as well as on our profiles on social networking sites," he explained.

The first maternity ward that will benefit from these funds will be in Šabac. The hospital's Chairman of the Board Aleksandar Pajić attended the signing ceremony on Thursday.

"Komercijalna Banka found a great way to combine a successful business operation with socially responsible engagement, by including in a humanitarian action all its customers. This demonstrates the power of mass solidarity and involvement when small amounts per one operation solve major problems of children's health care institutions. I believe that we will succeed to every month until the end of the year declare a victory, procuring the necessary equipment for one maternity ward every month. In these difficult times, it is a great accomplishment," said Veran Matić, president of the Board of Directors of the B92 Fund.

The campaign started on June 1 and will run through December 31, 2014.
