Merkel congratulates Vučić, invites him to visit Berlin

"I wish you and the citizens of your country much strength and resolve for the upcoming tasks and implementing the necessary reforms in particular," Merkel said in her message to Vučić.

"Success in those efforts will provide a new impetus in the EU accession process and contribute to further normalization of good-neighborly relations with Kosovo," the German chancellor said.

"The federal government of Germany will continue to support your country on that path in the future - it would be my pleasure to receive you soon during a visit to Berlin," Merkel said.
