SNS leader wants government to "work as team"

Vučić, who is expected to be the next prime minister, added that he would try to make the best team "and for the government to be as one," and that he would "seek to avoid a 'feudalization' of ministries, as it was before" - even in the government in which he took part.

"I want to know what is happening in each ministry. I want the Ministry of Finance to know about all spending of the ministry of Sport or Culture or another," said he.

Speaking about the priorities of the new government, Vučić said there would be legal and economic reforms that are important for Serbia.

"Serbia's economy we need to revive and heal. Also its industry and agriculture, and for all that a lot of work and patience will be needed. It will require a change of consciousness in all of us, but also in all citizens," said Vučić.

When it comes to economic reforms, Vučić said that the new government will immediately go into structural reforms - to change a number of laws dealing with bankruptcy, privatization, labor, civil service, insurance, planning and construction, which includes issuing permits "much faster than before."

"Our intention is to quickly create a much more favorable legal environment for investment in our country for foreign and domestic investors. On the other hand, we have to adopt at least 13 laws which are implementing action plans and legislation in the field of the rule of law and justice," Vučić said.

According to him, the new government will have to think about fiscal consolidation, reform of public administration and provide greater industrial growth.

"In that sense we are preparing a part of the program for the period between June 2014 and June 1, 2016, with stimulus packages that must be the best in the region in order to attract people to invest in our country, because why would they come to Serbia if conditions are not more favorable than in other countries," Vučić said.

Asked if he believed he would succeed in the fight against corruption and organized crime, Vučić said there are "many problems," and that "institutions must do that."

"What we are doing shows only the level of the political will. It's not enough. All our institutions must work even better, even more, and even stronger. What we see here is the work of the police and the prosecution, but where it is yet to be shown are the courts, which must be much more efficient," said Vučić.
