43 percent of eligible voters in Serbia plan to vote for the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) in the early parliamentary election, to be held on March 16.

Poll: 43 percent will vote for Progressives

The coalition comprising the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) and United Serbia (JS) comes second with 13.1 percent, followed by the Democratic Party (DS) with 11.6 percent.

According to the survey, which was carried out on a sample of 1,000 respondents, the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) enjoys the support of seven percent of the electorate, and the new bloc led by Boris Tadić would get 6.8 percent of votes.

The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) would also pass the election threshold with 5.2 percent.

According to the poll, other parties would remain below the five percent threshold, including the Serb Radical Party (SRS) and the Dveri Movement with 2.8 percent, as well as the United Regions of Serbia (URS) with 2.6 percent of votes.
